God of Schemes Bug

I've completed the majority of the objectives and I am now stuck at what I am guessing is the final part of this quest. As I walk up and Molag Bal grabs me one of three things consistently happens:

1) I am grappled and pulled up - but nothing happens. Molag Bal just sits there roaring at me and no quick time events pop up to progress the fight.

2) I am grappled and pulled up and then dropped to my death.

3) I am grappled and dropped but I do not die though I am not able to move around at all (like #1 but flopping around on the ground)

I had a single instance where I was dropped and able to run around but not able to do any damage to Molag Bal or do anything at all really.

Basically, I am stuck and unable to complete this quest. Yet another one I have had to deal with in the past few days.

Things that I have done to alleviate the problem by myself (since I have little hope that anyone with real ability to help me will actually do so): re-loaded the UI, restarted the game (both forced and normal), abandoned all other quests in my journal and logged out for 30 minutes (the quest restarted but I encountered the same problems after wasting another 20 minutes on the final assault).

Do not contact me to suggest any of these things. They have been done.

Look I know you all are busy, but this is the 2nd game breaking bug I have had to deal with in 4 days. AND I STILL HAVEN'T HEARD FROM ANY OF YOU ABOUT THE FIRST PROBLEM BY THE WAY! Honestly, I am almost to the point of unsubscribing and demanding my money back. I personally brought half a dozen people into this game but when I actually need help, I get stuck on a quest for three days and once that one resolves itself, I am stuck again.

You're certainly not the only one with this issue; there is another active thread with many posts today. The devs seem to have "Bump out of the Hose Syndrome (or BooHS)," where if one kink is smoothed out, two more appear. The God of Schemes has been glitched in many ways since launch.

Worked fine for me. I know that isn't very helpful.

Something you might try is plugging in hard wired temporarily if you play wireless. I know it sounds odd that a high network latency could cause game breaking bugs, but as we have seen with how the bots are allowed to exploit collisions and terrain on the client side, it is entirely possible.

Also, I would try setting your graphics to minimum just so see if it is similarly lag created by overtaxed hardware.

I have the exact same thing happening to me. I am frustrated as you are. @AlienDiplomat‌ I am hardwired Internet. There are no graphic issues.He picks me up, roars at me, drops me so I just sit there unable to do anything. In fact he continues to roar into his hand while I sit on the ground. I logoff or quit, sign back in and we go through the same thing again.

Tried the graphics reset. Didn't work. I am also on hard-wired internet.

Yup me and my buddy just finished up coldharbour pve and came to this to progress to veteran content, and are stuck with the same issues. Why did this have to be the thing to break with the patch and not some random side quest /ugh

I have the exact same problem. I have also tried everything and I have tried 2 different PC's over an 9 hour period. I have had to re-do the quest 10 times. I have heard from csr support saying and I quote

"At this time, we are unable to have a GM come in game and assist you as that course of action has not been confirmed to correct this issue. In order to assist you properly, we are escalating your concern for more specialized investigation."

I am sorry but after wasting an entire day of my time on a bugged end game quest, someone should just go in and complete the quest for me so I can move on. I should not have to lose play time and wait for them to find and fix some new bug. Its not fair to me that I basically cannot advance. and cannot play.
