PvP - WingedTwilight visible during stealth

jasonleitch1_ESO
I had a guild member (on a different faction) ask me to test if his winged twilight was visible when he went into stealth during PvP. The winged twilight did remain visible and revealed his current location.

The concern is that for most players engaging in PvP, stealth is a major advantage and necessity. If summoned pets remain visible, then the player must dismiss their pet or their current location will be revealed, and the location of other alliance members around them. This makes the use of a summoned pet a hindrance.

Is it by design for summoned pets to remain visible and reveal the players current location? Was the design meant that the player had to choose: Either a summoned pet or stealth? A player could always stealth without the pet, then prior to starting combat they would need to summon their pet, wasting valuable time and magicka.

Also, his concern was that he would not only need to give up the pet based on its current hindrance while in stealth, but that all the skill points spent in the summoning passive abilities were also wasted.

Think this was designed. I was disappointed when I discovered this in beta, too.

However, it's not much of a problem if you use the familiar since it's an instant cast. There's actually a pretty cool video of someone who focuses on rapidly summoning and destroying the volatile familiar.

Agree, they could make it invisible easily, but likely was designed to be visible why 'master' is in sneak.

I thank everyone for the replies and I will show the video to my guild member as well.

@ZOS_GinaBruno Thank you for the rapid response. I will inform the guilds I am in, and I am certain that my guild member that initially asked about the issue will be thrilled to hear that a fix is planned for a future patch.

On a somewhat related note, vanity pets were disabled in PvP sometime between patches 1.1.2 and 1.1.3. I don't remember seeing that in the notes. Vanity pets were also visible in stealth to the other side. So at least there you no longer have to worry about group members with those giving away your position.

Ok, found summons pretty hopeless in PvP anyway, they work well enough in PvE but the clanfear has problems tanking players :)

Please let vanity pets be visible while sneaking for the fun factor.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
