    Windows 8.1 / cpu i7/ memory 8 g (16g soon) / SSD 240 for eso and SSD 128 for windows / video nvidia 765m /

Memory leak since patch 1.1.2 - never had probleme before.

I think im gonna stop playing for not damage my computer

I have a similar setup as this and was having bad memory leak/slow load times and noticed that after patch 1.1.2 my settings had been changed to fullscreen. I reverted my settings to windowed (fullscreen) and noticed a huge difference. No more memory leaks/slow loads and honestly, I cannot see a change really in graphics.
I recommend anyone still using fullscreen to change to the windowed (fullscreen) and see if that solves any of their problems.

Memory leak has been making my computer shut itself down completely. Best part it only happens when the game is open. I've had it happen with TeamSpeak open but the main thing here is 95% of the time I have nothing else open. I'd love for this to be fixed so I can stop restarting my computer every few hours.

I don't understand why we even consider writing games that play on PC or MAC.
That's like saying "were gonna make this game console friendly too....PS4,Xbox1 AND WEE. (Yes I do class the Mac as the Wee version of a home computer) :open_mouth:

    It's Wii not Wee @Sindala‌.

One thing to keep in mind when trying to recover from a memory leak (if you are running windows 7 this does not apply to you), but windows 8 and 8.1 handle memory differently than windows 7 when shutting down or restarting the PC.

To clear a memory leak in Win 8 / Win 8.1 you have to do a "RESTART" (NOT a normal shutdown / press the power button to boot it again).

If you do not do a RESTART Windows 8 will store the state of your memory and then restore that EXACT state (memory leak included) when you boot the machine next time, meaning that the previous state of your memory leak has been recreated. The reason for this change to windows 8 was to help the machine boot faster (unfortunately, that also allows a memory leak to persist from one boot to another)

By telling your PC to RESTART instead, the existing state of your memory is flushed and when the machine is done rebooting your memory state will have been reset.

Hope this makes sense, its a bit awkward to explain clearly. Always do a RESTART (instead of a regular shutdown) to clear a memory leak.

Also, someone above mentioned not playing the game in case this would hurt his PC. A memory leak causes no damage whatsoever, it's just a royal pain in the ass.

I've also seen some people complain of memory leaks recently, when the real culprit is overheating (the usual cause of complete shutdowns; memory leaks will generally only crash the app). ESO is a graphics GPU hog, and I strongly advise anyone to have a fairly dust-free computer and a handy fan to blow at your vents.
