and someone has to put the devs' asses in gear

That is a fallacy, and someday you will learn that.

NB's are still a riot to play, but yes.....there needs to be some optimization of the other weapons. I run my Nightblade as a Caster (closest I could find to an evil warlock ideal), and I have zero issues.

But again......you shouldn't be forced into wearing a dress and picking up a stick to press the eso IWIN button.

As for the Forum rage, and why it is rampant here?
    1. ZoS's customer service is horrid, and handled by a driveup window operator somewhere in the Midwest.....well that's what I think anyways. Each of my interactions with them always feel like they should ask me if I want ketchup with that.
    2. They used to respond to you when you reported something, they now ignore you.
    3. They say nothing of the bug reports that are filed (they used to)
    4. Feedback is an empty box that ZoS created to you can vent somewhere and they don't ever have to see it.
    5. Their stance on Bot's is incredibly weak. People are sick of seeing them.

It's my honest belief that players think ZoS reads everything on the forums and it is the only way to attempt to get their attention....and they are often correct.

Ok here is the issue and not you in specifically but in the general attitude of this post and the other one after about "voice being to hoarse to scream anymore"

The complaint here is absolutely true. Had a guild member (hardcore) got to Molag Bal and there was a bug (if you guys remember). He filed a ticket and 2 hours later he was assisted and moved on. Another hardcore (just not as hardcore) got to it a day later. She waited a half a day I think. Another few days later and he waited three days. Now the conclusion one can make is ESO is dropping the ball and they seem to care less as the game progresses. OR the first hardcore gamer was probably one of 100 complaints while the 2nd person was one of 1000 and the third one of 10000. Do they care less? No, but the sheer volume of tickets became unmanageable. Do they care less? No, it is just that they were unprepared for the volume. Is that bad? Maybe, but no... I mean NO game is ever prepared for two things. One, how hardcore people can me and two, the volume of whine. I don't know why but every game underestimates those two things.

The point I am making is the perspective about the forum community. You took a natural progression and made the assumption, "ESO no longer cares." When in actuality it is not so much they don't care as they were unprepared. You can debate which is worse.

It is this notion that our generation and the generation behind us have this unforgiving demand for instant gratification. It is the culture. And that culture is getting worse.

You will come to the point I and many others are at, eventually. Unless, of course, ZOS dramatically changes how they handle things. I sincerely hope they do, but currently they're struggling. You may continue to ignore all the problems the game has got, the much slower than needed reaction times or flaws in the design, if that helps you with enjoying the game.

But don't come here and blame folks for voicing their concerns, even when they don't hit the right the tune. If the negativity gets to you, get out of here. There's plenty of excellent fan site communities, if that's what your searching for. Official forums are a place to adress the developer about problems and it's the developers business to deal with the resulting negativity. Apparently, they are not doing enough, otherwise it would be all happy, happy sunshine around here, now wouldn't it?

Yes, you cannot please everyone, but the mood in here would be a whole lot better, if people actually felt listened to and problems would be solved in a timely manner. And they just aren't. So naturally it gets rough around. And absolutely none developer interaction makes it even worse.

You come here, see the negativity and feel the need to do something about it. Probably because you think this rather toxic environement hurts the game. And you know what? You are absolutey right! You are, however, mixing up causalities. The negativity results from problems with the game and how they are handled and not the other way around.

There is no need to defend the developer, we pay them to offer us a service and not vice versa. It's not on me or you, but on them to successfully battle the negativity by solving the problems, that's what they are paid for.
"You've probably figured that out by now. Let's hope so. Or we're in real trouble... and out come the intestines. And I skip rope with them!"
