How about the rest of the quests? Saving a Khajit's husband? Paying the argonian's debts for him? Wiping out *khm* vampires in Cave X?

A vampire "Hero" is a total nonsense. The way they did vampirism in skyrim was right - guards attacked you, people didnt talk to you, when you were visibly vampirish. You couldnt stroll by in Elden Root, you were an outcast. Within that, you *could* roleplay the good guy, or the bad guy. This in ESO is just really childishly, primitively done, just like, sadly, the end of the main quest, for example. And I really do love this game and am a big "fangirl", but playable vampires plus the player biting ability was a stupid mistake.

It's apart of TES, has been for a long time. They have as much right to be there, lorewise, as you do.

I don't remember Grahtwood in Skyrim either. ;) I do have 800+ hours there.

As to the mechanics, they are a lot of fun to play.

    lol...
Yeh right.. taken from a twilight movie maybe...

If they wanted to do it "right" lore-wise, they would do it like in Oblivion. Stage 4 vampirism was the strongest, but If you step outside while the sun was up, you died within 5 secs.

The real lore (if such thing exists) is that vampires CAN NOT face daylight.

Such thing would not be playable of course, likewise the attack from guards thing.

When I kill one of those abominations in pvp I wish they went "poof" like in True Blood.

The only vamp that I would let live is this one <3

You mean Queen Ayrenn? o.o ;)

Whenever a see a Vampyre in a zone, I stop to pray for their soul. I pray the love of my Lady Almalexia guides them to the light, and nurtures their tainted soul.
How ironic.. a worshipper of an undead murderer bearing distain for undead murderers.

Not all vamps are baddies, look at the Eastmarch quest, they are some nice guys.
We use our abilities to aid us in our quests. We're not crazed blood fiends we do have some measure of control. I do think they should double the time between each stage though but make it so that certain quests (main storyline etc) you can't talk to Queen Ayrenn with Stage 3/4, for example.

    lolwut.

Unless you transformed into vampire lord form, nobody in Skyrim gave half a damn about you being a Vampire. In fact, guards cared way more about me using Aura Whisper in town than they did if I shot a Blood-tainted arrow into the sun.

It was Oblivion(can't remember how Morrowind did it) that had people attacking you if you were Stage 4.

True Vampires are Stage 4 all the time.
EMO kids nurse their Stage 1 like diabetics.

The kine get nervous when you look like a hungry corpse all the time and being fed helps them differentiate you from blood crazed lesser.

True Vampires love fire because sporting prey tastes better.
EMO kids wear jewerly to keep cool.

A vampire is an intelligent predator and if I wish to use the kine's expectation that I'm highly flammable against them, instead of being generic overconfident to a fault then that is my choice.

True Vampires are pissed off all the time.
EMO kids are pissed off all the time. (don't confuse them!)

No we are not and I suggest you seek treatment for your emotional disorder if you want to have a long unlife.

    True Vampires don't sell bites.
EMO kids hock The Gift in zone chat.

Okay you got one here. Bites for the worthy not the wealthy.

True Vampires feel invigorated after tasting sweet blood.
EMO kids get weak because of low blood sugar.

Yes vampires like blood and hence why starving your self to stage 4 always is silly.

    True Vampires already know this.
    EMO kids are already offended.

Some of your ideals about the kindred as a whole are debatable to wrong.

True Vampires love to feed but hate losing their edge.
EMO kids feed because Staging makes them edgy.

I agree though maybe hate is a little strong, more dislike.

True Vampires will never look for a cure.
EMO kids were in the band "The Cure". (look it up kids)

But your wrong, if you find the cure first you can destroy it or use it on those who don't deserve the gift.

True Vampires look sweet all the time.
EMO kids whine about gray fur.

Well with the exception of the blood crazed and those who were hideous in their previous life yes.

True Vampires will add to this post.
EMO kids will want to rebuke it.

    Eh I respond not add.

Now that you know a little something about it, which one are you?

Someone is a Vampire: The Masquerade fan!

Mostly I agree with this - of my 4 characters that I play regularly, 3 are vampires. I like roleplaying vampires. Simple as that. I enjoy their weaknesses as much as their strengths. I LOVE feeding for the hell of it, just because my vampires live for blood - for them it is an addiction they cannot shake. Each of my 3 kindred are RP'd differently, depending on how I perceive their personalities. The khajiit is bloodthirsty, but not a mean guy as such, the dunmer is always on the lookout for his next meal and my altmer, big Basil, is a complete evil bast**d, bloodthirsty killer of anyone in his way!

Not one of them is 'emo' - they delight in their unlife.

I never sell my bites. My vampires love to create more. Basil in particular does - he has always made more. Vampirism is a gift to be enjoyed.

Most of all: REAL vampires do NOT sparkle.

First and foremost, @Khazaad‌, you have put much love into this one, my kin.
So true. Serafina at stage 4. I guess I'll let her feed soon but she does just fine there:

I walk her around now. The level 50 horse does the running. It's funny I walk her slow in the newbie areas, I base her there and they stop, 'oh that's not an NPC'. ;)

@poodlemasterb16_ESO‌, putting a touch of wonder and fear into the NooBs...very well done (As much as a 'master of poodles' can, I suppose.) (Our characters look much the same...will post later.)

If you were to do the quest you would understand that few hate Molag Bal more than the Vampires.

@Elirienne‌, you confuse vampires with simple bloodfiends. Vampires are first and foremost highly intelligent creatures. We end up with years of wisdom beyond even that of the elves.

Do not mistake our intent to save Tamriel with the intent of saving you... They are not one and the same...

We respect power. We respect greatness.

Almost ironically, we greatly respect life. We choose carefully, less we become nothing more than animals.

While our motives are our own, always, this does not mean we do not see the benefit in helping the 'cause' of those around us. Allies are allies and this can benefit us in many ways in the long run.

Were you to be attacked in the forest by a great and menacing beast, would you not fight along side the very bandits who, just moments ago, intended to kill you for the gold in your purse, simply because your immediate survival depended on the help of your former enemy?

Our will is our own...we are not without reason, or even compassion, should it be warranted. We are simply bound to a different oath than the one you choose, even if you have chosen no oath at all.

You misunderstand us. Alas, something we will deal with long after you have departed.

Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

    Earn it.
