Sinmur STILL Not Spawning, Blocking Progression

I know this is an ongoing issue, but I'm posting it again to see if anyone's figured out a trick to get him to spawn.

I have done all the Rift quests, my achievement section says 61/61 Rift quests completed. I don't get how that is if I haven't killed Sinmur, but whatever. I have tried the dropping quest and relogging, then picking it back up- none of that works. Has anyone found a way to get him to spawn?

One thing I have noticed is that even though I completed the quests to get the shards of Wuuthrad, they aren't in the quest item section of my inventory. Is that normal? Any help is appreciated, I've been stuck crafting and leveling an alt (questing a second time never goes fast enough) for 10 days or so now. Thanks!

Side note- now when I go back just for kicks to see if it works, the area will not load. I get the endless loading screen.

When you entered his area did you rush on ahead and start slaughtering The Worm Cult?

If this is the case, you need to wait for the king to speak. I let him lead the way when I sorted out the problem you're having.

What I did was that particular quest and go and do something else for a while. Repeat some group dungeons or something. Then come back to that nearest wayshrine, pick up the quest again and see if that works...

I abandoned that quest and found some old quests, did those and then came back. All worked fine. Just don't rush ahead and let the king speak

I will try dropping it, leaving it for while and doing other things, then coming back later. The king never actually did anything when I entered the area, unfortunately. Thanks for the reply!

bump. ZOS, please address this issue, nothing has worked. I cannot move on in the game with my main character and I would really like to. I couldn't care less about little bugs, but this is game breaking and it's halting my progression. Please look into it.

I killed him with no issues. Twice now. Once with my v12 tank, and again with my 49 Mage.

I had problems with the quest as well but managed to get it finished thanks to grouping for once. When I tried to do it solo, I kept getting the stupid bug where the crystals would not work, insane health from Sinmar and the stupid King not resetting upon deletion of the quest. Had to totally quit the game, not just log out to get the king to reset back on the step to restart the quest. Problem was that Sinmar had such insane health and could not damage him enough because the crystals were bugged out. Everytime you try to kite him, he would just reset and then gain like 1k extra health. He was sitting around 184k when I gave up and asked my husband to try and come help. Fortunately he was able to group with me and load in to the wayshrine there and go in with me. Upon entering everything seemed to work normally, crystals worked, Sinmar took damage like he was suppose to and did not reset. He went down in under a minute. Might try getting someone to help you. I don't know if someone that has done the quest already can go in or not. My husband had not done the quest yet and was a couple levels lower than me and it let him go into the instance just for information. This was on the VR zone as well, and not the 1-50 zone. Maybe it's a sign that ZOS needs to make grouping for quests an option.........lol
