hey guys, here is my templar.
http://esohead.com/calculator/skills#moMfy9ckVoV08rFTx8fXGo8fXGP8frrn8DziA85kj7zbUM8n7zbWQ8y7GNR3r6NR3f6MfQE16zfQlr6MfQlu8zV7VzeCGC6zeCp48zf7zzNbo8zu7zzHfYE6zHfZd8zG7zzHQ3F8zI7czJIoX6zJIkL6zJIkl8zN7cMJZcY6zJZrM6zJZug8zA7zzKpUN8zL7zzK4EX

lemme tell you a little about him.
he's only lvl 15 and i havent been playing him the last 10 days because i've been working offshore but the time i spent on him when i was home was really fullfilling. loved the class.

he can deal with 3 mobs with little problem but 4 is a bit much. depending on the mobs.
i focus down 1 fast and move on to the next since my skills are mostly single target.

start with a vampire bane from afar and click the invasion to rush in and start the fight.
by then the target is already at about 70% health. use the pierce armor that lowers the targets armor and spell resistance with 40% and its an easy burn from there on down.

use the stamina skills to do damage along with power attacks and normal attacks and the magic to heal yourself to stay alive, keep a track of your surroundings and dodge when its called for and position yourself correctly so you dont take damage from all 3 at the same time and the fights are quick and easy. for a little extra dps use the soul trap ability on each mob in turn and you will get your stamina, mana and health refilled by 8% after each kill.

this is my setup and it works fine for me, a sword and board char with self heal.
notice i havent set up a second weapon set yet since i didnt have time before i had to ship of for work but seeing all those "templar = bad" threads made me feel i had to post something good about them.

Templar indeed is quite strong at early levels... wait till 40-50/VR1 or go PvP and experience yourself.

Other classes like DK are weaker at early levels but get stronger... for Templar its the other way round.

    raging on you

Define "rage". Seems everyone was civil.

Also, review his post and its point - which is to counter the VR templar's negative feedback.
Even if templars are fine one way or the other (I like mine, for example), the fact that he is in his very early levels means nothing and cannot be used to counter anything.
As logic goes, if people didn't like their templars by level 15, they would have switched to a different class, because first levels are easy to redo. However, they leveled through all the VRs and they feel they are lacking. Therefore, negative threads. Because leveling a different class all over again is not really an option.

could also be that i like my templar because i wasnt handed everything in life.
i like a challenge and if everyone says the templar is broken i will play it even harder and faster to find something that works.

adversity builds character. atleast it did when i was born 34 years ago.
today it breeds impatience, petulence and what seems to be a mortal stain on young people's honor.

there is an "i win" buttons for every class folks, just have to find the right combination to press them in.

There is currently only two classes in this game, DK and Sorcs.
Templar's and NB are just 'extras' that have not been removed yet.

Wait till you hit VR, you wont be happy with your Templar (just like me). I hope they are going to tweak it a bit, meanwhile I will play a Sorcerer

Adversity still builds character.... well for those willing to endure it. But this isn't real life. It's a game of mathematics, and no matter how many numbers you put into an equation it works the same. Math is done one way to be right and 50 billion to be wrong. As a min/maxer the Templar is lacking tools that other classes have given to them. So when you start putting math into the works here. It comes up short of being good at any thing.

I enjoyed playing mine till around VR3/4 then it became a bore to the point I didn't want to login. I still login to go PVP as a PVP healer, but I don't bother even trying to level or do group content. Because all the other classes are better at it.

That's not a "adversity builds character" problem, it's a numbers don't add up problem.

All classes from Level 1 to 50 have it easy, ever with bad builds and crap armor/weapons.

Level 1 to 50 is the intro.
V1 is the real 'first' level, then you see you should of rolled a DK or Sorc.
NB give up before L50 (as most of their class skills are broken)
    Templar's should of....
