[SOLVED] Can't log in - Error 201 & Uknown Errors

Also under "Announcements" there's "Could not retrieve annoucements".
Update: I fixed Error 201 by restarting the modem since it was a problem of my connection. Now I'm having Unknown Errors when I try to log in, but I don't think it's related to the previous issue since a lot of people are having this issue.
Update n. 2: I didn't do anything, just waited. Now I can log in!
Update n.3: I was wrong. I can log in and see the character select screen, but if i try to log with the character, "Uknown error" message appears.
Last update: Today I had no issues.

Now I know what it means: you can't reach the server.
It was a problem of my connection and i solved it by restarting the modem.
But now I'm having "unknown errors" LOL0 -
harmen_hulsb16_ESOSoul ShrivenI have exactly the same problem, although sometimes I get through the 201 error and get ingame, but then I have huge latency problems. This all started after the last patch for craglorn. Restarting my router or flushing dns did not help...0 -
Auric_ESO✭✭✭✭There is an option in the launchers repair menu to run game advisor. Run that and find the file it creates. At the bottom of the file is a traceroute. Do you see issues there? Sounds like a connection issue at first glance. Just my guess of course. Oh. Also turn off all addons as a test too. @OP are you getting this while in a group? Quite a few people I know (myself included) are constantly getting DC'd with 'Unknown Error' while in a group, in Craglorn.
Try just doing some solo stuff for a little while in the same area (explore. farm mats whatever). Unfortunately it won't solve your problem but it will help you narrow it down and will provide more feedback for the Devs to use.

Said that too early! I was in the character select screen and I alt + tabbed for writing in this thread. When I came back, Uknown Error message.
Agh, whatever.. I'll retry tomorrow
