Cyrodiil lag unbearable

As title states, I'm in Auriels Bow campaign, & can't even log back in due to horrendous lag. Funny thing is, it's low pop. Never had this kind of lag in Cyrodiil, not even during beta. Game usually runs smooth and good for me, but something seems up today.

    Yes. Was just in cyrodiil myself. Wabajjack. the lag is abnormally bad today

    NA wabbajack is insane atm. Wep swapping has about a 5 sec delay, and god forbid you try using bolt escape - I can try using the skill 10x in a row, nothing happens. Then over the next minute it finally responds and I end up randomly porting all over the place. :s

    While the population in AvA may show low population (indicators could be broken), I doubt the server cluster itself is seeing low population. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the servers are seeing extremely heavy load. Couple that with the influx of new content and the bugs that come with it, and you have a perfect storm.

    I was in Cyrodiil for about 7 hours today (/sharp salute), and the general consensus in Wabbajack was that the Megaserver was on dial up. Folks quickly corrected the comment in that there is not one "megaserver", but a cluster of servers, and they are correct. Since it's a private - perhaps hybrid - cloud of servers, it stands to reason that the problems are exacerbated and replicated in this model.

    I could be wrong... it's happened twice before... but I'd wager that Zenimax will first optimize the code and/or scale up their cloud to fix the issues. A game this size, with this degree of content, with this many subscribers, with this level of detail, in a private/hybrid cloud data center model, we will always see bugs.

    That said, I'm confident that they'll fix it; they have some real talent working for them.

    The lag is truly ridiculous. This is not acceptable what an excuse of a company.
