Did we get any confirmation that Deshaan (and other misc zones) isn't going to lock our characters in the infinite tooltip-spamming loading screen?
I would like to return to complete the tasks in the zone for VR, but I am quite nervous in entering the zone again.

Probably, but For Whatever It's Worth and Your Mileage May Vary have been around for many years. Perhaps a better inquiry is, "Why do people take the time to post idiotic questions?"
