Pets blocking doors...

Can't enter or exit with pets blocking the doors... about 5 people are trying to get in.. This person has been sitting her for about an hour and not responding to tells. (and no you cant go around, sitting, sprinting, jumping, etc...) I logged in to find a shard she was not on to complete the quest.

    I've had problems like that before too. Where as I could not enter the door to get to a skyshard. As the person had pets blocking the way. Why did they make collision detection for pets, as it's not needed and there are some people that seem to like to block doorways.

    They need to remove collision detection for pets.

    I've noticed that some NPCs will do this also. They just stand in a doorway and I can't get by them.

    People should stop bringing their pets indoors, especially that winged twilight that flaps it's wings in front of me while I'm in a conversion with an NPC.

    Zom should remove NPC collision, period. It's just a nuisance.
    'Clever' sigs get old real fast - just like this one.

    I agree, player pets should be walkthrough like players themselves. I'm assuming this is an accidental oversight.

    Also, having pets not appear while in conversation mode would be nice :D

    Its a VERY stupid idea that pets cause collision detection!
    Its also very annoying with people with summoned pets in the banks!

    Collision detection needs to be removed on summoned pets and vanity pets.

    Not sure if this is the cause for the issue in the Vulkhel Guard Manor as opening the main door to enter it and staying still before moving results in you getting stuck in the doorway.

    This is driving me mad. I was stuck umpteen times in the door at the bank yesterday and stuck for a very long time at a wayshrine because someone went afk and their monkey was blocking everyone from moving.

    Did you try a roll dodge? I know it ignores collision for monsters. Didn't try with pets, but it should work too.

    That one(porting to a shrine and appearing inside a pet) i could fix by drawing weapon. It moves your feet into a combat stance, moving them out of the pet's collision box.

    Pets (in general), spell and other associated sound effects, aren't always hidden from view/muted when you're in dialogue prompts like other players are.

    It breaks a lot of concentration in banks, especially the ones in Vulkhel Guard, Davon's Watch, and Daggerfall due to the sheer number of people that horde around bankers with their pets and find it funny to lay down continual AoE spells and constantly summon pets (namely, the Winged Twilight and Clannfears).

    There is nothing wrong with npc collision itself. It was actually added to the game just before launch. Prior to that it was not in game. Pets do need to be put away while in towns, but watch out for what you ask for.

    Doing a forced stable or dispel may have to apply everywhere too. For instance you go to a castle to fight the main boss, you try and summon your pets. You now get message "pets of any type is not allowed indoors" summoning failed, please leave pets in otside areas.

    Yeah, it's kinda distracting having a mudcrab on the counter waving its claws at the Banker while a Twilight's wing keeps flapping in my face. -__- Not to mention all the other pets running in place everywhere else in the background ...

    Thats why when I was on my sorcerer, i would always put my companions away and my pets i got are still in the bank and have never been used. I too have been hit by these people that like to stay in doorways and wayshrines with their pets.

    They should just fix it so they can't be summoned in regular city buildings, like the bank, crafting and vender buildings, not quests. These are the only places that are really a problem. Most Sorcs don't think about it when they enter a building. Some are just plain rude, but there are still some courteous peeps out there too that disband them.

    Don't think so, for some reason some pets you can walk through, but others are solid and you can't.
