I just got it after finishing the mages guild. Many books missing, I know there are some known issues with it but I think my issue is more personal. There are books, documents I didn't read because I was rushing with a group during a quest. Like Hazzaks Hollow, there is a journal there I never read and I can't access that area anymore to read it after I got the Eidetic Memory, does that means my character will be locked out of it forever? Being a completionist that really gives me the ***.

I noticed this too, for example none of the crafting books I have read show up. I'm kind of a lore buff so I find it kind of annoying that it doesn't work, it isn't always practical to stop and read things in the game world be it because of respawns or a dungeon group that isn't interested in waiting for you while you read. I eventually want to see this fixed but I think of late they have a lot of things that need fixing and this unfortunately is near the bottom of the totem pole.

Indeed, I remember on SWTOR it had a similar collection system called Codexes and many of them were missing or unobtainable since the launch and till today weren't fixed. Maybe a lot of MMOs aren't about lore but in an ES game lore is everything, is what brings respect to the franchise.

My eidetic memory eats books. I get over 330 and then when I relog it's back down to 287. This is like the 4th or 5th time it's done this. I also can not read any of the books that I have since they're always greyed out with no option to read.

It's a known bug. That hopefully they fix. My problem is I didn't read most of quest stuff because I did think I could go back at a later date and read it (very hard find a group as DPS then stalling people so I can be a bookworm) but most of scenarios are locked out. I can read the documents will be on UESP soon enough but the missing books there with no option to achieve it sucks.
