Game freezes when kicked to login screen.

I leave my game downsized sometimes when I go outside or whatever the case may be where I need to go AFK for a bit. Before the new patch I would simply get kicked to the login screen and would have to log back in. After the patch my game freezes on a black screen and I have to alt+ctrl+del out of it. Not a big issue by any means but I figured I'd see if I was alone in this or if others noticed this happening? Maybe something to do with the new fullscreen feature?
