Anyone else have to download the entire game again for 1.1.2 patch?

I just tried to start up the game for the first time since the patch was released.

I'm staring at a 26GB download. Basically, it's sending me the entire game again. Sheesh.

Yup same here! I can't believe that I'm still paying for a game that I've spent more time fixing and downloading than I have playing! Such an awesome game when it's running but I don't see it fixed anytime soon!

yup then the bloody games doesn't work. stuck on a infinite loading screen for me before character select.

Mine would lockup at 81 percent. So uninstalled and got out the disks. Took a hair less than an hour and half.....patches and all. I run a 3570k intel. My wife has a 6100 amd.....no probs at all. No time to play since patch, but before, periodically I would have to restart....I assume that it was mem leak. Her amd never once has had an issue even with an old card. Saw in dev tracker they found leak and working on it.......fingers crosssed.

When you load you game launcher, top right corner will be an option to switch servers. select the EU server, log out of launcher, log back in. When it starts updating the EU information , switch your option back to the NA server. Log back into your launcher 1 last time and game should load as normal with update only. You can also try a repair in options. But be warned that can sometimes lead it to repeat the repair nonstop until you logout/in and switch servers.


Is it a pain, yes. It is nearly as trivial and as much nonsense as having to log in and out of your game 10 times in a 2 hour session or constantly /reload ui because things wont open or npcs wont complete quests,e tc. But it is the ESO we all know. GL

PS DO NOT , I repeat please DO NOT uninstall and try to reinstall. The problem will not be corrected and you will still have had to reload all the info.

I' m doing that right now, because since the patch I am finding all kinds of invisible mobs! If my crosshairs are on them, I see a thin red outline, but other than that, they are totally invisible, and I'm getting ganked by them.

Tired of fighting blind, so I'm HOPING a re-download, install, and patch will fix this.

This thread has a similar topic but with a staff response and everything. They want some more information about the issue, see the link for more details... Hopefully they fix this nonsense soon.
