The Arbordawn Cult quest bugged. *FIXED*

In Reaper's March, this quest has been bugged since yesterday. You get to the stage where you have to protect the mage and the boss never spawns. There are also dead bodies on the ground already that never de-spawn.

As soon as you pass the threshold the quest marker leaves his head, you get the "Protect Telengar" message, and nothing happens. Happening to a dozen people in the area.

Tried log out and back, nothing. Tried having everyone leave the room and come back at the same time. Still nothing.

This has been bugged since at least 11:00 am EST, more than 6 hrs. Obviously GMs are much too busy with the hail storm of 1.1 bugs.

Update: As of 5:36 PM EST I can get Telenger to warn me I will need to protect him while he opens the Temple Doors, I tell him " I am Ready"...but then he does not then proceed with the task.

Just abandoned the quest and did the WHOLE THING over again while not grouped. Still broken. FML.

CONFIRMED. I invited the three others in the room to a group, left with them, re-entered together, and was able to talk to Telengar. However, after telling him to begin, the quest still craps out and nothing happens.

No its not. Still bugged at 9:30 AM. EST. Telenger still cannot be protected and the quest cannot advance.

Just FYI, in game GM's have no tools to advance a quest stage.

True, But they are able to relay the accuracy of the the bug claim to those with the tools and relay the growing frustration of the paying consumers.

That is all I wanted to come of this thread. To get confirmation they are now aware of this problem so they can fix it in the next patch.

FYI, still broken. No way for me to know if it broke with the patch though since this is my highest level character and first time through this area.

It had a different problem before the patch and that problem has apparently been addressed. Unfortunately that problem happened *after* the Protect Telenger task. So we are stuck now at a point in the quest *before* the previous bug.

Still blocking progression on this quest. Filed a /bug report and sent an email ticket. I guess that is all we can do until we get confirmation they are aware of it.

This drives my completionist mindset insane, but oh well. I guess I'll come back to it eventually.

Still bugged. Did the requisite logging and sitting around waiting while my ultimate expired and nada. This quest worked last week.

It is beyond belief that they have not put GMs in the game to reset quests or whatever help they can when a stage in the quest is completely broken. We spend much time just sitting and waiting and doing all the dances we have become accustomed to.

This quest is still bugged as of today 5/25. I have reached the step "Protect Telenger" but there is nothing to protect him from (no mobs in the room) and he is not interact-able (can not speak to him, does not speak/move). There are a good 5+ other people in the room stuck on the same issue.

*sigh* It would be nice to at least have some management acknowlegement of this *new* Arbordawn bug.....But I take it the 1.1 roll out is not going as smoothly as they would have liked....

It was broken for me, too, this morning (around 8 or nine Mountain time). I could speak to him, but nothing happens; there are big bug corpses all around - I assume these are the things we're supposed to kill.

Still a dead end quest for me too He doesn't even warn me, its rather annoying please fix this Or at least let me kill the mage as he is just standing looking smug!

I feel for you brother and it sucks about you not being able to progress. However, there are 2 chances a GM will show up in game to fix the issue by posting here on the forums. Can you guess both chances? Yes, that's right...

Received a reply from a ZOS rep via email this morning: "Not being able to complete the part where you have to protect Telenger is a known issue we are currently investigating, and hope to have resolved in the near future."

Good to know they are aware of and fixing it. That was really my only point in posting this.

Ahh......I see you got cut and paste quote #5950934. Believe it or not, they gave me a similar response via email when I was reporting a player dropping the "N" word repeatedly in zone chat. Go figure.

Still broken, the only way to advance this quest is to have this room only for yourself with no one else in it but you. I've been trying to do that since yesterday, a couple of hours of relogging, but it's impossible, there are always people there.

Broken for a long time. I can tell by the position of the dead monsters that I've been in the same god damn instance forever. I'm about to give up.

For christ sake, can someone at least come here and say they acknowledge this?

These bugs are popping up everywhere. I love this game too much to let it bother me, just frustrating when your so close to beating the quest and boom, ya can't. GM's come fix this!

I tried doing this quest 5 min ago. It's still bugged. I went in there and the quest info says, "protect" but there's nothing to protect from.

Not always true. If it's a question of a mob not spawning, they can force it to spawn. A GM did that for a load of us when Our Poor Town was bugged.
