Its loud!

Is it me or does the sound of my horses hooves hitting the ground sound much much louder then normal?

Also i was in Deshaan yesterday and it was raining. I kept getting huge lag spikes where My whole screen would just stop. Though I was crashing but then it came back again. I left Deshaan to go to vet content in Glenumbra, no problems, then wanted to go back to Deshaan again. Once i got in the city, intermittent hard lag spikes. Never crashed just full screen freezes.

I even tried to roll my graphic settings back a bit, and it still happened very so often as i wandered Mournhold.

It's not just you, I noticed it today as well. When sprinting with the horse the galloping sound is extra loud. Not sure why they changed it or if it was a bug, the sound was fine before the patch.

At least the horse is only client side and not so loud to passer bys. Me and my friend were worried how this would affect PvP with it sounding so loud, but apparently the horse sounds the same to others around you, it's only client side it's that loud.

Something has definitely effected the audio. I've noticed that my horse is louder and, someone fired off a silver bolt near me yesterday and it sounded like a rifle being fired near my head.

eso audio balance is quite terrible. I can't play this game without loudness equalization..

    with LE it's okay though.

The audio balancing in this game is awful, im all for tweaking the audio tbh. The horses actually sound like horses now rather than horses with padded bunny slippers on.

Agreed. I quite enjoy how things have gotten audio wise. It needed refining for sure.

Well i don't use horse much (all bag space and i sprint really fast) but i just checked and the horse seemed to sound exactly as i remembered it from before patch. So this might not be affecting everyone.

was just about to post a thread about this, I get a weird sound now on top of the normal galloping, a sort of popping sound (not like a speaker popping due to overload but cant think of a better way to describe it) . Or like someone whacking a hollow wooden block now and again.

It depends on what surface I'm running on whether I hear it a lot or not

It get's quite annoying, I have a good sound setup and it amplifies this greatly,

it is possible, we all have different sound cards. Im wondering if there was some change in default audio settings or something. I know i had to change my fullscreen option after they tweaked it.

I can confirm the horse hoof sounds to be a lot louder, after the patch.

This only applies for the sprinting hoof sound for me, though.
The normal speed walking sound can be tuned down by lowering the footstep slider.

However, the sprinting hoof sound seems to stay at 100% full blast at all times, unaffected from the footstep sound slider.

Almost certainly a bug, that will hopefully be fixed quickly.

Well have you heard a horse gallop in person? On cobblestones it sounds one way, on dirt it sounds another. Part of the experience my friend.

"In 2014, a possible bot was sent to coldharbour by a military GM for a crime she didn't commit. This argonian promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Ebonheart underground. Today, still wanted by the developers she survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a bot problem, if no one else can bite you, and if you can find her....maybe you can hire The SQUISHY."

Same here, i already report in game as feedback and here in technical support, it really makes diference using 5.1 system and impossible to play like before, specialy those long horse riding in Cirodill.
It make me tired just listen that bass and loud running steps of my horse sprinting... i dont want to lower special effects since they help me find skyshards for exemple and other sounds i dont want minimize... just the horse stpes runing in some terrain types (almost all).
    Please fix this quick.

Yep, but they dont sound like someone pressing a pop like sound on a synth, one that is pitched at just the right pitch to really grate, the noise im on about doesn't sound realistic at all.

Does anyone remember if the sprinting hoof sound could be regulated by the footstep volume slider before the patch?

    Would be interesting to know.
