New armor look

Hey ZOS-Team, hey players,

after hours of patching I finally was able to log into TESO. The first thing I saw was a huge change in the look of my armor (VR10, chest and legs yellow quality).
It went from:

I didn't find anything about this in the patch notes (maybe I just missed it), but although I liked my old look, I have to say the new one looks more special.
But I hope, you didn't go too crazy with the glittering colors

Anyway, this was a nice surprise.

Yes the new armor looks AMAZING!

They wrote they was gonna change the looks of armor.
Espacially at veteran levels.

"Art & Animation
Fixed an issue with Veteran Gear armor, which will now give them a higher-quality appearance rather than appearing to look like low-level gear."


Thats what it said under patch notes

Good to know. I read in some thread, that the armor look was intended that way (the washed out grey colors), but that they will talk to the art guys.

So happy my VR2 blue leveled gear doesn't look like the rags I came out of coldharbor at level 1 in. I was super shocked to see that my High Elf robes went from looking like a bad ass mixture of shining leather and elegant cloth to being 3 different shades of bland grey.

Better quality gear looks better at low levels even. My Imperial Templar's gear has a gold embroidery on the gear now. It's the little details that help.

Nice! I'd often thought the armor in game was a bore especially compared to other MMOs and other TES titles.

I personally liked the former look of your specific armor much better, the new one looks like some kind of toy armor

My blue / pink armor went to green / gold but I think they overdid it just a little bit too much with the glitter and saturation.

Well to be fair the old armor had some weird lighting effect on it, so it's kind of a poor contrast when you think about it.

Bring the armor tint already, just one day and i cant stand all the vr10 in toy blue armors -_-

I wish we cold pick 2 colours when painting an armour, like primary and secundary, so we dont look all clones.

although I think it is a waste of resources spending time on these things distracting from the enormous bot problem, but I agree in several statements here...
tints, when they come will be welcome in my book.
the new armor look is NOT as good as the old...my opinion. Careful with change, while adding options is far better.
but botting still concerns me more....it makes my game experience really bad....off topic but...hey...makes it a poopy game, no matter how much frosting you put on poop...it is still poop. I Love the game....that is why I am so upset about these "useless" changes.

Mine looks interesting because I mix crafted sets.

So my chestpiece is green/gold, while my leg armor is salmon....
