Q: What's the reason ESO went half price?
A: ESO didn't go half price.

    FAQ:
Q: Why is Amazon selling it at half price?
A: If you have room for 5000 bagels and sell 100 a day at full price, and you also have room for 5000 cupcakes and can sell 500 a day at the same price, you'll discount the bagels to sell the same volume to make room for more cupcakes since they sell better at full price. Moral of the story it's not just about how much money you can make, but its also about how fast you can make it.

Q: Why is it that people don't understand basic economics?
A: Humans are particularly unique for their uncanny ability to learn from the experiences of others, but doubly unique for their insufferable disinclination to actually do so.

Stupid thread, it is just the box version both Amazon and Game Stop still sell the download version for full price! Only a minority PC owners buy physical boxes these days.

So as a PC owner u are saying u would pay double the price for the digital version?

I would pay normal price for the imperial edition, even though its half price for boxed version in store.

I would also pay normal price for pre-launch, even though we all know a game will be sold at half price within a month or 2 after launch.

ALL games are sold at half price after 2 months, why this is so special for ESO is beyond me.

IF ESO announced they were going Pay-2-win, then it would be reason to be concerned, and of course reason to find something else to play.

Fun fact: In the US military, the word "repeat" is used only in for referencing an indirect fire mission. We use the phrase, "say again" instead; for example:

"Target at three o'clock, two hundred meters ... I say again, three o'clock, two hundred meters." ;)
