I don't think it was ever included, even in beta.

    I agree to Jewelcrafting.

I do not think you need new metals to do it. Keep in mind that Copper is already used as a metal/stone for Racial Armors, so you would not be able to use that.

The existing metals could be used with the prospecting option.

I also do not think that having a Crown/Head slot would be a valid option since we already have a head slot for armor.

It would mean losing an armor slot in exchange for an enchanting slot.

Gems already exist, so unless a new set is designed, they are already available... personally, I think using them for traits as already exists would be a better use for them... Same with Styles, the current Motifs should be fine, it's cosmetic in anycase.

The Metal used in Jewelry should be what determines it's level, as the current system does, but I can't see a way to put 12 ingots into a ring, in fact I have a hard time with 2, but some method to set the level of the piece. Gold and Silver are all well and good, but the names of the metal can be just as fanciful as everything... Cordizite makes really good rings and VR10 - VR14 may use Dilithium... there are also different "Types" of some metals, White Gold, Red Gold, Yellow Gold to name a few, but these would require new farming nodes to be added to the appropriate zones.

Tempers, like the other smith crafting lines, would also be needed, a set of skills could be used to lessen the required number of tempers (as the current system works), emery cloth, polish and so on...

While I would like to see the normal 5 slots (2 rings, 2 earrings and 1 necklace) the current 3 are fine, granted, the idea that I could give my vampire between 6250 and 7500 more fire resistance... perhaps infused to make it even greater has some appeal.

The biggest drawback to all this that I can see is the limited number of bank/pack spaces, I am currently already straining the stitching on my packs and the bank wants 30k for the next 10 slots, add 13 more crafting item types (9 metal, 4 tempers) and just will not have the room... Skill points would be an issue, except I would only need to spend them on 1 alt to make items for all of my characters... except for the bank space to pass the items around.
Of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most...

Jewelry crafting does not fall in line with ES lore. So no.

I could craft necklaces and rings in skyrim.

Also this is an mmo with an elder scrolls decor. if people will pay for flying ponies there will be flying ponies in the game at some point. the companies will do whatever can make them the most money from these games.

I disagree. Zenimax will stay true to lore as much as possible, they even have a lore master to keep them straight.

Lore != game mechanics. So even if you couldn't craft jewelry in previous TES games (you could, BTW) that wouldn't have anything to do with lore. Lore would mean there was a book out there somewhere that said that mortals couldn't make jewelry and that all the jewelry that existed in Tamriel was created by the divines and fell from the sky or something. It bugs me when people use the "lore friendly/not friendly" argument about game mechanics.

As was pointed out by a guild mate, ESO takes place before the rest of Elder Scrolls, it predates the lore, it may have been forgotten in the last 1000 years.

This argument makes absolutely no sense. If no one in all of Tamriel can make jewelry, where does it come from? Does it fall from the sky?
