Please read and consider fixing the guild banking system.

Here is what I perceive as bugs and hassles in the Guild store/banking

1. Poor sorting system. The guild store can sort items by cost, but not alphabetically. You end up with a long unsorted list that is slow to scroll.

2. Poor menu choices. Hard to weed out specific items such as recipes. (I have the add-on for this, but the person stopped updating it).

3. Need Bank permissions. Give us compartmentalization so we can store super nice things in one 'special' section and let other guild members have free and complete (or whatever access we want to give them) in others. Make it as simple as:

Menu Option A:
How much space for Special Access area (# of slots): ___

Menu Option B:
How many withdrawals per day from Special Access area (# of slots): ___
(paraphrased by Sandmanninja below)

4. Stacking needs fixing. Should be able to just throw all the ingredients into the guild bank and have it stack for you. (paraphrased from badmojo below)

5. The error "searching too fast". This happens even when searching relatively slowly. (This makes the add-on very slow as well)

7. Having to leave and come back up to see guild store and guild bank items because they are lagged and not showing up. Not always, but a lot.

8. The inability to navigate on the bank main menu to choose a new option. Example; you used the guild store, but now you want to use your bank, but you need to exit and click on and re-hear the entire NPC introduction.

9. Need warning, or some sort of safeguard whenever user is depositing into a guild bank INSTEAD of their own personal bank. Yes, this is the users fault, but why not make this user friendly.

10. Lack of search bar to look up guild store items for an individual guild or all of them at once. This is actually huge and really should be number one.

I'm trying to add comments to keep this all together. Thank you for ideas!

I hope ESO makes this a high priority to get this running more smoothly. Thank you!

Your forgot to mention that you deleted my comment.

I posted this twice, once to general and then once to ESO support so they would read about the bugs. I wasn't sure which would be better.

It then got re-posted back over to "general" (again) so your comment was not on one of them. Thank you for commenting on the first! I know I am not alone in the frustration.

The forums sort of remind me of the ESO banking system, it is hard to wade through, and has a lack of defined headings under "general" so that specific topics can be kept separate. It is not user friendly, in my opinion.

Even a splash of color, and larger headings on their brown and beige menu would help it appear more appealing to the eye.

Not trying to be negative, I really would like to see your product succeed.

Nope, you are correct, your comment *was* deleted from the discussion all together.

I can't believe how poorly designed the guild bank is. How is their not a basic search function?
  • alleigha
    alleigha
Right, this exactly. How could a game be made with incredible graphics and detail, but not have a basic search function for the guild bank?

This is why I have actually pondered if it was a design by choice, or if something like that could actually be an oversight?

I'm concern with them losing players over these types of issues, because of the sheer frustration of it.

These types of things need fixing right away. Like now. Once you lose players they have a tendency to not come back if they are fed up.

I used to play and absolutely love the MMO Vanguard. It had a lot of bugs at launch and they did not fix them, and did not communicate well with their player base.

Otherwise this was a beautiful game, and very, very well done. But they got a reputation, and it stuck with them no matter what they did the population stayed low. Word was out that it was buggy and frustrating. End of story.

This is unfortunate, but it's how the business works.

This game is too good to let this happen to it.

Don't you hate it when the devs finally reply to your post, but it's only to tell you they moved you post? :#

yes, and what is amazing is the swiftness in which the dev moved my post. I would have preferred that he confirmed that he read my concerns and passed it along to someone who may or may not be able to address it.

Communication is key in this type of business. Other MMO's companies (guess I better not name names, but we all know them) tried to do there business without communication on the forums, slow responses, no explanations, and with bad results.

I do see that they have put out some ideas for future plans, which I appreciate. But there is many other things that still need addressing.

    BANK PERMISSIONS!!

And that's it. It doesn't have to be as NICE and RICH as WoW's guild bank (but it would be nice), then just tie it to a rank. So people can withdraw all they want from the general area and then if people run trials together or get special loot or whatever, I can temporarily promote them to "Special" rank (which has access to (say) 5 slots a day from the Special Access area. So I can dump special items in there, say "I'm not near a bank but I've just promoted you. Let me know when you have gotten the items I agreed to give/sell you and then I'll bump you back down to Regular Member."

It's not rocket science and right now, there's not much reason for people to join a guild other than trading/selling.
[Hard Mode Dungeoneers] is recruiting all players of all levels for this new Guild.
THIS IS A NEW-BUT-GROWING GUILD. We are focused on doing vet pledges, vet dungeons, getting achieves, & doing hard mode bosses.

You make a good point, and bring up another great one:

People don't have much reason for joining a guild other then trading/selling.

Guilds feel impersonal (Not all, but many) and getting to know players from five guilds can be challenging. Seeing @IDbrugaga39792 (just made that up btw) versus a simple game character name doesn't help it feel close. Really is not good for role playing guilds, but that's another topic.

    Just my opinion here.

I changed my @ID name to my main character name to make it more personal. Yes, I can still have alts with different names, but at least most know me under my main character name now.

Thinking it might be better to just have an auction house, and then let people join 5 guilds *if they choose* this sort of play style. As it is, you *need* all 5 of them to stand any chance of finding an item.

If ESO is not using auction houses because of the economy and/or botters abusing the system , then they should be handled. Honest players just want an easy way to buy/sell.

STACKING! I spend so much time in ESO pulling provisioning stacks from my guild bank, adding the couple I've found, and then putting them back in the bank. I should be able to just throw all the ingredients into the guild bank and have it stack it all for me.
