A call to all NA AvAers.

Greetings and salutations members of the Elder Scrolls Online community,

As many of you are aware of by now, AvA has many issues. To just list a few, there are too many campaigns, transfer costs are too cheap, guesting is being abused and many are hopping from one campaign to the next, etc. Suffice it to say, most of the campaigns are dead, competition is almost nonexistent most of the time, and ZOS doesn't appear to be saying much of anything on this front.

With these current issues likely not being addressed anytime soon, I'd like to make a call to all the members of the AvA community. Instead of waiting for ZOS to fix a problem that may never be resolved, we should attempt to fix it ourselves. If anyone actually wants competition, wants to have an active campaign, and wants consistent PvP at all times, lets commit to a campaign.

There are really only three viable choices at this point in time, looking at populations for campaigns. Auriel's Bow, Bloodthorn, or Wabbajack. My vote would personally go to Bloodthorn, given most of my experience has been there, and we actually had some amazing PvP yesterday. Clearly, many must have been guesting that generally aren't present, but DC, AD, and EP were all actively fighting and the PvP was a lot of fun. I'd like to see more PvP like this on a consistent basis and I'm sure many others would agree as well.

I've only heard negative things about Wabbajack in regards to lag, stability, the terrible PvP, so perhaps that should be a campaign to avoid. As far as Auriel's Bow, all I know is it's dominated by AD most of the time. Regardless of where people would like to commit to, I think for the sake of AvA and keeping the game fun and interesting, we as a community should step up to the plate.

Feel free to post comments below with your ideas about what we can do to better the AvA experience for everyone.

Regards,

These kinds of posts are what this community needs! I guest on Wabba just becuase it seems to have the best population. Would be nice if we had a server with a decent population during the daytime as I am a shift worker.

I just came back from wildstar after getting bored in 2 days of crappy pvp (50% healer debuff in arena becuase healers are op?)

And people complain about this games balance....

@kronicbubonic‌ Yes I actually heard about that, a few of my friends were talking about OP healers in Wildstar haha.

If you're gonna be like that I vote Auriel's Bow, since it has been and always will be my home campaign. (And i'm EP)

On another note, people have been telling me Goldbrand is doing all right.

I don't really care where we decide to commit. I was merely suggesting Bloodthorn has been having amazing PvP from all three factions these past few days. Auriel's Bow, to my understanding, is generally always dominated by AD. Why not commit to a campaign that has been seeing participation from all three alliances?

This may be something easier to achieve once reset happens. I know many may be partial to their campaigns due to their particular leaderboard spot or ties because of guilds or other alliances. I'd just like to propose proper planning so we can guarantee there will be a quality campaign we can all enjoy.

you should all just come to chrysamere NA. its a half dead campaign with 20 DC vs 40+ EP vs 2 AD. EP owns the map currently.

It sounds more so entirely dead than half dead. Auriel's Bow, Bloodthorn, and Wabbajack are by far the three most active campaigns. At some point, ZOS should really just remove the others from existence, as they are either dead or players use them to farm the emperorship.

Yeah wabbajack has the worst PvP yet last night all three factions capped? With Ques? LEts call the most populated server the worst PvP yet everyone is here, thats logical.

I am only stating from what I have been told from various players who have guested there as well as from my own personal experience on Wabbajack in the past. Campaign stability is questionable, probably because there are too many players, so I'm suggesting an alternative which would actually probably help the lag issues there.

If you are content with Wabbajack, then great for you. The point here is to organize quality PvP on a campaign for the future, likely after reset. Given the fact that Wabbajack is generally already capped, it would not be a good candidate for many who are on campaigns that are not doing as well.

Well with the new announcement of changing all the campaigns anyway this topic becomes moot!

But i do get what you are saying. RIP Wabbajack you were fun!

    Clydus:

BT's a DC zergfest. Has been since about week 3-4 of this game. Either you're asking to spawn more zerglings or you're wanting more people to run into the meat grinder.

Either way, it's moot. BT's ending, zerged into the dirt by DC.

Quite the contrary, actually. What I wanted was more AD and EP to come to Bloodthorn. There are too many DC here currently, many of which are bad. However, EP and AD numbers have dwindled since many jumped ship and ran to Wabbajack. I wanted to reinvigorate the underdog alliances to restore balance on Bloodthorn.

With the recent changes, however, this will no longer happen. ZOS will again throw the community into the wind and we'll have to find new homes. What I will say is I believe 5-day and 7-day campaigns will be an absolute failure. I don't believe any quality AvA or faction pride can be built on campaigns that are so short only the emperorship will matter.

With that being said, if these become the permanent new campaigns, I will be taking my guild to Thornblade, the 30-day campaign. I encourage anyone who actually wants true AvA, where faction pride and unity matter, to come to Thornblade as well. No single alliance should dominate a campaign. There should always be competition, and there should always be AvA worth participating in.

I want to build a community and a campaign worth being a part of. I believe many who actually came to ESO for AvA will agree and likely come to the longest duration campaign as well.
