Greetings and salutations members of the Elder Scrolls Online community,
As many of you are aware of by now, AvA has many issues. To just list a few, there are too many campaigns, transfer costs are too cheap, guesting is being abused and many are hopping from one campaign to the next, etc. Suffice it to say, most of the campaigns are dead, competition is almost nonexistent most of the time, and ZOS doesn't appear to be saying much of anything on this front.
With these current issues likely not being addressed anytime soon, I'd like to make a call to all the members of the AvA community. Instead of waiting for ZOS to fix a problem that may never be resolved, we should attempt to fix it ourselves. If anyone actually wants competition, wants to have an active campaign, and wants consistent PvP at all times, lets commit to a campaign.
There are really only three viable choices at this point in time, looking at populations for campaigns. Auriel's Bow, Bloodthorn, or Wabbajack. My vote would personally go to Bloodthorn, given most of my experience has been there, and we actually had some amazing PvP yesterday. Clearly, many must have been guesting that generally aren't present, but DC, AD, and EP were all actively fighting and the PvP was a lot of fun. I'd like to see more PvP like this on a consistent basis and I'm sure many others would agree as well.
I've only heard negative things about Wabbajack in regards to lag, stability, the terrible PvP, so perhaps that should be a campaign to avoid. As far as Auriel's Bow, all I know is it's dominated by AD most of the time. Regardless of where people would like to commit to, I think for the sake of AvA and keeping the game fun and interesting, we as a community should step up to the plate.
Feel free to post comments below with your ideas about what we can do to better the AvA experience for everyone.
Regards,
