So, resetting the campaign doesn't reset anything but the leaderboard?

That's pretty shocking to me. I had assumed the map would reset back to starting conditions, so the new campaign would start with all factions on even footing, rather than in this case, one starting off with an overwhelming advantage.

There is a time, unspecified, where no scoring can be done, so you have a chance to reclaim some ground.

I know the points reset for the different factions but do the AP points accumulated for the leaderboards also reset? Not the AP you have saved up that is usable, but the AP total you gained during the campaign length.

Example, 3 day campagin. I gain 150k AP. I dont spend any. New campaign starts and I gain another 50k AP. Does the leaderboard show I have 200k AP at the end of the second 3-day campagin or does it show I have 50k AP? I have 200k AP to spend in my pool but doesn't apply to my rank in the campaign.

based upon many months of 48 hour campaigns in PTS prior to game launch:

the leaderboard AP resets as if you had never played in the campaign before - everybody starts at zero again

any 'personal' AP you have in your inventory window (next to gold amount) remains

map stays exactly the same - no reset

your alliance war assualt and support level and skills remain the same and continue levelling up as normal

your alliance rank of veteran, corporal, sgt, captain etc stay the same and continue levelling up as normal

    D.
    Stands in Puddles VR12 NB
    Dleatherus VR10 Templar

Emperor Farmers, cheaters and exploiters - just like cockroaches in real life, Tamriel will never be rid of them

This has been know for the last 2 years. It makes the map a persistant world. What you accomplish stands until enemies take action to change it. If the map resets then what you do or invest money in does NOT MATTER. People also give up and say whats the point of doing anything if the map is just going to reset soon.......
People wanted a persistent never ending map just like DAOC had, and Planet Side 2 aswell

To be fair, with keeps being so ridiculously easy to take and the rampant problem with certain factions having high numbers of players in US off-hours, there is no real persistence in Cyrodiil anyways. It takes no more than a few hours to run through and capture damn near the entire map if you have overwhelming numbers. ZOS created this problem by making keeps the only real objectives worth fighting over. Make keeps harder to capture, and give players something to do other than attacking keeps, and we'll start to see some real persistence, and keep ownership will actually become something of importance.

Thank goodness they're making switching campaigns more expensive and putting a timer on it .

I still think guests should be given rank 50 status however. It doesn't 'jive" with lore that 20 guest emperors and empresses from "another land and time" "with all their buffs and skill options"(but mysteriously in your alliance) have shown up to save your sorry pvpn arse from losing your precious keep or your tier reward.

Well they only get 5% buff on stats, which although they (the Elite PvPer) think it is wonderfull, isn't much.

In terms of Lore/Roleplay... of course the point is warrented.
