    there should be a hard limit once a siege is started. Once the siege is lifted the cap could reset.

    I don't like pve in pvp. Not fun and the current exploit with mercenaries is nearly as bad as the caltrops exploit.

    empowering npc's in Cyrodiil was a very very dumb idea even more so the ability for singular players to spawn them in bulks of 20. If you wanted to make keeps harder to take then add siege pieces to walls that are built into the defenses that players can use.

    I did not mind them tell I jumped a DK well outside of a keep and had him spawn them on my head. My vote would be Yes if they were refined to be only INSIDE/ON KEEP Walls and not untargetable 50% of the time....

    That said ...

    They don't give a *** about your votes.. they don't care about PvP. Game breaking lag since patch and not a single word from them.

    Keepem..they cost points..give minimal AP and can be rolled over easily if you know what you're doing.And if none of the afore mentioned perks..they thin out zergs nicely. :D

    Yes, I want summoned npc guards, but only as an ulti from support skill line. And the attack skill line should summon X siege weapons.

    I voted no, but I wouldn't mind having them if they were limited.

    Say 2 summons per player every 15 minutes (prevents a continuous respawn every time one dies). Then limit total to 12 per keep, 8 per Outpost, and 4 per resource.

    Oh and fix the unkillable bug.

    Yes... but balance out their strength and maximum number, also don't let players set mercs anymore at some point... easiest way would be while the keep is marked as sieged on the map, but that way you would be probably unable to place them upon arrival to keep defense. What you could do about it is making the places, where mercenaries can be set, dependend on how far the enemy has come already. like no mercs outside the inner keep when the outer wall/gate is under 50% and no mercenaries inside the inner keep when the inner wall/gate is under 50%. ZOS would probably have to increase the duration until mercs despawn by themselves as well, so they are still ready to defend when the wall is finally down.

    Mercs are at least a player driven part of the game though. Its not pure PvE like the guards.

    Players have to lay them down and strategically use them in fights.

    Doing things like laying mercs and baiting your opponents into them add to the overall strategy of the game.

    Its one of few remaining ways for small groups to take out larger groups. More and more AoE caps are making that tough in open fields. Caltrops makes siege useless. And now you want to take away mercs?

    You want this game to be full on zerg vs. zerg?

    Lag, Caltrops exploit, Forward Camp bugs, Merc Spam/Invincibility. WTB ZOS Response. PST.
    Cyrodiil Issues as of 6/3/2014
    - Massive Lag since Craglorn patch.(Still bad lag on "Laggajack" NA and some other campaigns.)
    - Forward Camps and other Siege bugging out frequently
    - Caltrops granting Immunity to Siege Weapon Damage
    - Massive Faction Imbalances in Most Campaigns / Several Dead Campaigns
    - Mercenary Mage Spam (sometimes causing them to go invulnerable)
    - Players exploiting Keeps/Scrolls through DK Chain Pulls to go around defenses

    Yay Zenimax is doing things.

    Mages aren't really that effective against a full on zerg. A big zerg will just roll over the mercs.

    They are being used right now to hold off groups of 20 or so. If anything, they are making it so that zergs are all but required to take keeps that are defended with NPCs.

    ~ yea all they did was encourage more zerg play, when in reality all they need to do was make the doors and walls have more hp so they dont fall so quick.

    - give more notice on the map of a keep being attacked before it loses its teleport.

    - make it so people can teleport to forward camps without talking a rez point from it.

    - hard limit npc guards to 20 once a siege is started, that only resets when the siege is lifted.

    these changes would make a better pvp enviroment.
