galiumb16_ESO✭✭✭Why does it take so long to put the patches up to start downloading? We have this big block of time where the servers are down, great time to download the patch, but instead we get to start downloading it just before the servers come back up...0 -
Well being a Network Admin now and currently getting a paycheck for it ... It is all virtual servers, everything can be tested and preloaded beforehand. It should not take 8 hours of downtime unless something went seriously wrong.
How many simultaneous connections - constantly updated in synchronized, real time - does your network cater to?0 -

This I'll agree with. Seems like they could set the system up to let us download a patch file without installing it, so there are no issues in case of a rollback.
City of Heroes did this for their "Issue" updates.0 -
ShinChuck✭✭✭Based on most of your posts on this subject sounds like you just like to complain, and while you may call it "fine with lower quality of service" I call it having some patience!
They are doing some major patching along with introducing new content...think we can give them a break on taking a few extra hours over what you find acceptable?
You may call it what you like; your McDonald's takes longer than mine, your McDonald's has worse service than mine. If you're fine with that and don't mind extra waiting, that's okay, and I mean that honestly. You don't need to defend it to me.
If they're not meeting a standard, I'll still call them out on it. I'm not asking for something unreasonable, because other companies can, have and do do better in this regard. It's not impatient to point out deficiency.
