How much would you pay to Recustomize your Character?

I think you all need to go to Zenimax homepage, read about ESO and what kind of game it is.

If you are even more intersted, tamriel foundery have a great section for the history from day one. Think 7 years ago. How the game was made from an idea, to a product. And you see over and over what ESO is about.

This question about changing your character or anything for that matter simply is not ESO. Dont take my word for it. Go read. Which I guess not that many of you did when you purchased the game?

Obvious statements from people who are unhappy with this game, who can not possibly read a single word about this product when they bought it, and simply had an own idea what they wanted it to be. I'll list a few very easy ones.

    1. ESO isnt skyrim multiplaying at all!
    (Never was meant to be)

    2. ESO is to hard to level
(Do I really need to explain what so wrong with this statement?)

    3. ESO has no gameplay for the casual player
(Yes, it does. There are even tips from multiple sources. But no, a casual player will not be able to be among the first 12 man raids who overcome Craglorn, for obvious reasons.

    4. ESO is boring. All quests look the same and there is nothing to do unless I like to craft and I don't have time for that.
(Statements like this can only comes from people who do not play the game, or havnt even tried to explore...even for 30 minutes)

One of the CORE features in ESO is to have more to do, then level, do quests and PvP.

There are over 50 different things to do that is just as important/fun as getting level experience.

Insightful, but what we are talking about is purely cosmetic. It has less of an effect than the attributes and skill respecs people can currently buy for gold.

I total agree with you if go to add re-customize/customize option to the game the simple do it like blizzard did to WoW add a barbershop where you can change you char look but each change to cost in game money not real money.

I'd just like the option to rename my character. Gold points or $$. AoC did it for $10 which seemed fair.

Every other mmo i have ever played has had a way to change your toons appearance (some more limited that others to just hair styles and colors, some as far as even completely changing body type and everything else short of gender)

Its pretty stupid that this game doesnt have some sort of tailor/imagedesigner/barber sort of function.

I find myself wanting to change certain aspects of appearance on my toons all of the time. What if i made one little mistake, and didnt notice it until much later?

What if I became a vamp and suddenly realized a certain hairstyle or color might go better, etc.

The reasons are endless, but we need a customize function. 1000 gold seems fair to me, its way more than most games charged in in game currency, but its doable.

We really need a option to do this, also the least it could be if ever is 5$, or if ZoS wants to do the right thing, 30.000gp because it shouldent be to easy, or to hard to obtain,I find things inbetween to always be the best.

I personally find that some races are better than others. For example, the Imperial is much better than my Nord, biggest reason being that the Imperial gets 12% increased health to my Nord's 3% and the Imperial also gets 10% increased stam. That adds up to almost 3 pieces of high level gear to get those stats. If you have 3k health and get 12% more that's over 300 extra health. Stam is similar to that. It's a pretty big deal compared to my Nord's cold resistance which is very rarely of use and that extra 350 armor to my already overcharged stat. Just my opinion though. I do believe people should get a 2nd chance to redo their characters as once you're so far into the game it's way too tedious to go back and level another character, I'm stuck with my choice and Imperials will be Much easier to soft cap as a tank. It's a pretty noticeable advantage.

I would pay with ingame currency, sure. Even if it's expensive (but would love if it would be cheaper - 1000 - 2000 Gold seems nice).
But I wouldn't consider paying real money for it - not with a sub based game.

Things like that, implemented after launch, is guaranteed not to be cheap. If only option would be ingame money, I could easily pay up to 10k. But I guess best would be a cash shop. Then it wouldn't matter how much it was really.

    NO!

NO WAY THAT ANY FORM OF CHANGING RACE AND CLASS should be allowed.
That would BREAK one big part of the unique CORE feature of ESO.

The story of you, starting at level one, the choices, failures, successes and who you are in the would would be compleatly change one of the most important CORE features of ESO.......that your character isnt part of the world. Its a "toon", like other games where the impact on the game by the character has no meaning what so ever.

Dude lol wtf, not everyone are role players, geez....

Would it be that difficult, though? They already have the character create screen. Maybe you could click on a barber and bring that up? Just grey out things like race or class.

I would like a barbershop in the game. Somewhere that you could change hairstyles, face/body paint, etc. It should be cheap and it should be paid for by in game gold. I'm already paying real money for this game and I have every intention of staying for the long haul. If they ever started charging real money for stuff like this you can bet your sweet, supple bottom dollar that I'm out.

This is a subscription game, I'm not paying real money for something that should be in the game from the start.

It should actually be a trivial amount of gold too, like 100 gold or something. LOTRO has a great system - people can change their look cheaply and frequently because it's cheap, as it should be.

    Meh.

This is an extra thing for me, so I'm happy to throw down a bit of extra cash.

On the other hand, the reason I screwed up my characters face was the bug at launch that prevented some people from zooming in.

ZOS might consider only those chars created with the EA zoom bug have a free face lift. But that's it. And that's way low priority imo.

My char's face is not quite what I expected, I would use it if they offered it. But not for any $ or gold. It's just not that bothersome.

1,000 gp would be a reasonable price for minor changes, like hair maybe piercings / tattoos / woad / scars, etc. For majoy stuff like race or body changes, maybe up to 5k gp or real money.
