There is no way I would ever pay real for something like that in a subscription based game. The amount I would even pay in in-game currency would be minimal. as the only purpose it serves is to make the playing experience more enjoyable on aesthetic level. That is something the devs should want for everyone, anyway.

5 dollars are more than enough, to adjust my character, but thats assuming we'd have to pay for it. SInce we pay with sub, I really think it should be free (or cost an absorbatant amount of in game money) not gp, some of us don't do PvP

Just to be clear, by recustomize we mean change your appearance as opposed to respeccing which you can already do at the shrines.

NO!

There is already ways to costumize your character. Make a new piece of armour in any of the races looks. You of course need the skill and motif for it.

Dont have it? No worry, this game player led economy lets you locate someone who can do this for you and of course pay for the feature.

Also, they already shown that dyes are in the plan, but again, I hope things like this gets in the game when other bugs been fixed.

They may even put in some service that NPC can change your hair, or even add more costumes.

If you are talking about changing the core character, Looks, height, race and class, then you are allowed up to 8 characters and is perfectly free to create exactly what you want.

That would BREAK one big part of the unique CORE feature of ESO.

The story of you, starting at level one, the choices, failures, successes and who you are in the would would be compleatly change one of the most important CORE features of ESO.......that your character isnt part of the world. Its a "toon", like other games where the impact on the game by the character has no meaning what so ever.

I'll give you an example. As I understand it, after PvP campaigns are over, there will be an emperor! AWESOME, The guild X or character Y has made history and added to the game since.

This would be pointless if you could could change who that character is.

There are many other examples of this, that the character DID something. Not only part of your journey, but everyone elses. You will be a part of the world for everyone.

If you cant see the problem at letting people change this, then you do not understand or care what ESO is.

The Opposite would be like a game who everyone can play every thing, but each week, day, or even per game session, everything is back to the start, and there is no history, impact, evolvement of the game.

I hear what you are saying, and I like consequences for your actions. But just food for thought - many of us are familiar with Bethesda's console commands, especially showracemenu, so it's not like we're suggesting something they haven't done before.

I think you have a point, you should not change your race and class. But is it really crazy talk to change something cosmetic like your hair color or hair style? Maybe your ears are too big or too small. Changing that won't break the game will it?

Only reason I see that some one whats to redo there look is because they bought an account on e-bay.... I don't see way the game devs have to cater to those "skanks".

But if they added some new hair styles or what ever... I might pay 1k gold to do it.

Free, or 1000gp. Customization is not something that has an impact on gameplay, and should not be overly restricted. The respec cost is already out of control in this game, we dont need to go even more overboard with customization costs.

With how poorly most quests pay out at lower levels, and the overwhelming 1-2g drops from mobs, this kind of thing should be either free, or no more than 100g.

And even thinking about trying to make this a cash transaction calls for some of their marketing staff to get lynched.

None. I want it free, just for my main though. When I originally made my Nightblade character, the character creator was bugged for me and wouldn't zoom (first couple days of early access), so I could barely see his face. Plus would like to change his voice

Unfortunately creation windows never represent what you get in-game, there's nothing to compare it to while you're making your character and the lighting is all the same. You can't angle your character around other than spinning. I do think it should cost in-game currency, but it shouldn't be something too easy to obtain.

Free or cheap recustomization would be lovely. I am fine with only being able to change my appearance without being able to change name/gender/species/alignment.

Yes - we pay a sub. Why should we have to pay more for anything? This isn't a microtransaction game and, if it becomes one, I'm sure a lot of us would leave. We chose a subscription game for a reason.

In game gold would be the only price that I would accept. Anything else would feel like a mugging.

I can appreciate the fact that you want to change your character's appearance so much you'd be willing to pay nearly the base price of the game again for it, but people can get all kinds of negative when they hear about yet another thing they'd have to pay real money for beyond the subscription.
