No game has 3 faction FFA bgs

DAoC does. However its not the now known instanced battlegrounds that does capture the flag etc.

It was basically mini cyrodiil, with 1 keep as the "objective", but was typically just groups or solos running around looking for enemies to kill.

It was not for max level though. And was originally created to get players to get a feel for the PvP before max level.

Well considering low levels have no chance against vet 10s in pvp even with the game buffing stats - this could be an idea to have level brackets for mini cyrodiil pvp matches that award experience. B)

This would offer lowbies a chance to have some fun in pvp and still holding the ESO's vision for pvp.

Maybe 1 main keep, and one fortified base. The keep has a lord that needs to be taken down which is very strong. Holding the keep offers more points, but holding the fortified base adds up quickly if you hold it long enough. Give exp for both heals and damage done. Give the most exp for holding the keep the longest to that faction, and bonus exp to the faction that holds the fortified base the longest. Huge exp bonus for killing the keep lord.

So say your team killed the keep lord, then got overran out of the keep. You could fall back to the base and hold that and still win the match, even if the other team had the main keep longer.

That way there is a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

Maybe give bonus exp to all 3 faction's MVP player of the match based off of heals, damage done, or objective points, or a combo off all 3.

Just throwing stuff out there. xD

They could allow like 4-5 people from each faction in each match...12- 15 man battles like most folks crave when out roaming for small scale pvp.

    Brackets:

    10-19
    20-29
    30-39
    40-50
    V1 -V5
    V6-V10

And I'm sure Cyrodiil would still be going strong.

    Sounds great to me!

Please no BGs. ZoS need to concentrate on Cyrodiil and making it the best PvP experience. And when it gets going, it really is.

Also if you think Cyrodiil is Zerg vs Zerg, you should try a campaign that isn't Wabba.

    Again, pleas no BGs!

There are other game genres that do all that stuff a lot better in pretty much every way (balance, mechanics etc).

If i want an arena style game I'll go play Quake
If i want an objective based game I'll go play LoL or CS

In this game, I want to expect the unexpected, like being ambushed by a third faction. I want the odds to be uneven from the get go so that i can beat the them. I don't want there to be a way to "win" the game.

I acknowledge That there are issues with this games PvP but I say rather than replacing Cyrodiil, lets just fix it and make it so everyone can have a good time instead. This could be done for example by adding more important open field objectives to promote fighting outside the keeps etc.

    But that's just me...

So just don't play in the battlegrounds?

No one wants to "replace Cyrodiil, we just want an option to have "battleground' type pvp as well.

Everyone can be happy- you don't like battlegrounds then just play Cyrodiil; you like bgs then play them. Its very simple.

This game was always going to be AvA and have zerg warfare in it. Those that post Going "Its incredibly boring" Why did you waste your money??. Its your own fault for purchasing something you knew was going to be based around this type of pvp.

Problem is that i think it'd pretty much kill Cyrodiil.

Not because the majority thinks it's more fun, but because it's easier and more convenient. Just queue up, play for 10 minutes and you're done. With some luck you even captured more flags than your enemies -,-

They should just promote these kinds of skirmishes in Cyrodiil instead.

    - Make the Dolmens and Solo Dungeons award drops based on your level/rank and comparable to whatever zone you'd be XPing in at that point (sets included).
    - Increase the XP from Cyrodiil quests and give a big bonus for completing a whole hub.
    - Make taking secondary objectives (farms etc) worth a damn not only when assaulting the keep

    ... etc.

arenas are lorefriendly and needed! dueling is needed! cyrodiil is dead until they reduce the amount of campaigns.

I hope they add some sort of PvP option other than Cyrodiil soon. I'm openminded about what it is. I don't care if it gives rewards for playing it. I'd love Warzones or Battlegrounds or Arenas or Dueling or even just a better implementation of siege warfare.

I enjoy PvP, but I need it to be more along the lines of "I can generally count on being in the action for at least half the time I put into it." Cyrodiil requires a massive amount of time to get into, may just involve fighting against NPCs, and can often be instant death after six minutes of riding.

If they just want to keep it to siege warfare, maybe create an instanced game where people sign up, it launches with X players on each side, each side has a keep and a scroll and the same siege options as Cyrodiil, but it's a small and manageable map where you shouldn't expect to have to ever travel more than 20 or 30 seconds after respawning to get back into the action. If people are worried about this drawing attention from Cyrodiil, then only run it for special events or on weekends.

But please create a PvP option that people can count on having fun when they only have a half hour to play that day.

How many of these threads are there now? Its possible i already replied to this one. This forum needs to have a filter, as you start typing in the title of your discussion it will pickup similar discussions that may be related to your topic.

Here it is again people who want arena the devs have already said at this time they have NO plans for arena combat as they do not want to take any focus away from Cyrodil.

This is the PvP you signed up for. From day 1 it was never expressed there would be any arena style combat. Pay attention.

No biggie. Already unsubscribed a second time a few days ago.I don't think the pvp is for me in this game.

Animation canceling, people hacking the client (teleporting, levitating, invisibility, speed, and more) and such just isn't my cup of tea. Btw, if the bots and hackers are getting away with all those hacks in pve gathering trade skill nodes what is stopping them to moving those hacks to pvp?

Good luck everyone. Just not going to be playing any MMORPG's as of now, as I'm burnt out on WoW, and possibly the genre in general.

    This is how it goes:

First they want battleground/minigames; the consequence of which will segment pvp making Cyro seem bigger then it already does, watering down the effect of War, what Cyro is intended to accomplish.

Second, they will want bracketed battlegrounds/minigames, because they won't want to fight V12s as bolstered level 10s and they won't want to actually invest any time in playing the game. The result will further segment pvp creating queue times and lots of standing around waiting for pops.

Third, they will want further segmentation of the queues to prevent organized pvprs from grouping and entering a queue to dominate and beat on pugs. Thus further segmenting the pvp community creating longer queue times etc etc.

Fourth, when they realize they are still bad they will stop pvping and we will be left with the *** system that every other MMO has tried.

    The answer is NO!

Game should be fun at all levels not just end game.

Other games you can "enjoy" PvP at lower levels without being fodder.

Cyrodiil HAS capture the flag. There are MULTIPLE Elder Scrolls to go and pick up.

There are LOTS of opportunities for non Zerg vs Zerg. And its PRETTY simple find out WHERE the Zergs are then figure out which transits to "turn off" that will delay the opposing Zerg.

You can find the "fastest route" to the zerg and set up an ambush for those attempting to re/participate. FYI if they are smart they tend to run in smaller packs back to the zerg to ensure safety from this exact tactic ensuring that you get the combat you desire.

YES the PVP can be "Zergy" but that's really the "epic" battles they were shooting for to begin with while still allowing ample opportunities for various pvp types IE capture the flag and king of the hill minus the hill.

There is a LOT small groups can contribute to the PVP. How about getting your emperor crowned and attempt to keep it that way for an exciting night of PVP.

Let the Zerg do its job while you seek to take down vital keeps to assist your Zerg and obtain all the elder scrolls.
