Ok since my nightblade can hardly solo well anymore, what class should I be? I'm just a soloer.

I just want to play a class/build that has the best ability to solo in all situations. What is that now? I'd really rather not be a vampire or werewolf either please.

Edit: Oh yeah, what I usually do in games like this is play a tank. A paladin. Would that be good? Either way I'd rather just be the best soloer.

Don't go two-handed with heavy armour.
Ranged/AoE will melt you in seconds.

Reykice✭✭✭✭✭Either melee with medium + bound armaments + Thundering presence + crit surge and you stack as much crit as you can ....
or light armor + pets(they help take agro + do damage and scale with magicka and the ranged one with spell crit i think)

RavenSworn✭✭✭✭✭o.O why can i still solo on my NB then?
1 v 1 with an npc, with groups of 4 even. Hell, im even using Bow and Two handers, with less than efficient morphs. medium armor with more stamina based attacks and supported with shadow stam regen and spell and armor buff, and self heals with siphon backed up with auto attacks. Ult when it gets hairy, pots when it gets even worse.
play it smart, pick off the weakest in the group and stun lock the strongest. usually works well.Ingame: RavenSworn, Pc / NA.

I dont understand why heavy armour with 2 hander would be any more susceptible to range than other non-shield variations. Explain?0 -

After tonight not many people will be. Best I can tell they stealth buffed every enemy in PvE. It's unplayable right now and there are many other threads in the forum discussing it.
I'm wondering if the folks here (especially nightblades) saying they are not having problems with large mob groups are in the vet ranks yet?Life of a Nightblade (Screenshot Tumblr)

dragnier✭✭✭I'm not having much trouble soloing... well, no more than usual anyway.
I play what I call a Spellshade. NB in full light with Destro staff for AoE and Resto staff for Single Target.
AoE Bar: Power Extraction, Twisting Path ( or Refreshing Path if you prefer the heal), Elemental Ring, Annulment, Inner Light, and Veil of Blades.
Single Target Bar: Swallow Soul, Degeneration, Impale, Surprise Attack, Inner Light, and Soul Assault.
If I think a fight is going to need a different skill like a heal from Resto or Silver Leash from Fighter's Guild, I'll swap that out for number 4 on one of my bars. Surprise attacks usually crits from stealth for between 1400 and 1900 damage.
Just tested Surprise Attack from stealth vs. a V10 heavy armor/shield mob in the first section of Reaper's March and it crit for 1706. Followed that with 4 Swallow Soul and 2 Impale and the mob didn't even move until mid-way through the fourth Swallow Soul I think. Of course, that is single target with only one mob to focus on.0 -

I'm a templar tank. That's because I also play paladin tanks whenever I get the chance. It's OK but I hardly ever use any abilities from my class. I'll stick to it but, with a heavy heart, cannot recommend it to you.Edited by Lovely on 23 May 2014 06:430
