Infinite Archive Necromancer Transformation Possibe?

Since release of the Necromancer fragments allowing the transformation I farm them. Since it is possible to roll the visions I do it at least once (4000 is too expensive). At best I got 2 fragments, never all three.
And this since this transformation is offfered as visions fragments in the IA.

I wonder if it is bugged that disallows getting all three or is there a minimum stage level to reach to get all three?

It is annoying because an achievement is linked to that and I really want that darn achievement.

I may be mistaken, but I seem to reall that I completed that achievement using the Mystery Transformation Verses for a couple of the various visions. If you already have all 3 visions collected for the achievement and only missing the transformation itself, you should be able to complete it with a mystery transformation. Though there is a bit of an RNG factor as there are 4 possible transformations, so it may take a few attempts.

That being said.. I rarely ever manage to collect all 3 visions in a single run for any category if I leave before Arc 4. But to be fair I rarely seek them out anymore anyway.

The achievement popped for me when I used a mystery transformation verse while having none of the prerequisite components. The consumable bypassed that prerequisite.

It does take some RNG to get all three visions so you become eligible for the respective verse. I’ve had a run where I had 2/3 on every transformation and runs where I had only 3/3 for one. Before Arc 4 it’s very unlikely I get all of one, like Denver said.

For me the upgrade for an extra vision helped a lot, as did the upgrade for an extra verse when I got the three visions.

I actually just got the necromancer lich one for the first time two days ago. I never go past arc 3, and IIRC I was still in arc 2 when got the full transformation. I can at least 100% confirm it doesn't somehow require going arc 4 or higher.

Ok. I understand that it's difficult. The thing is: I happen to be able to do the other three on a much more regular basis but since launch zero times necromancer...

I will try with the transformation thingy. I have a few collected but wanted to keep them as I thought I still need to have all three visions.

it is RNG, but ive had the lich transformation during many normal runs over the past months

sometimes ill have all 3 parts to it before i finish arc 2, sometimes i only get 1 or 2 parts even going through arc 5

like others said, the mystery transform can still grant you the actual transformation verse which does count towards the achievement if thats all you need to pop it

i did an arc 6 clear last week and had all 3 full set visions and at least 2 of the 3 lich set

its usually much rarer to have a full transformation set finished before the end of arc 2 than if you go past arc 4

The Undead Avatar verse is an Offensive Verse that is added to the pool once you have all three of the Necrotic Fortification/Strikes/Support visions.

So, you can use a Mystery Offensive Verse at any point after collecting all three visions to have a chance of rolling the Undead Avatar transformation verse. Do this before using a Mystery Transformation Verse to maximize your chances of rolling the correct transformation verse.

Also, because the Bestial Transformation verse also shares the Offensive category, make sure you don't collect all three of the Ferocious Fortification/Strikes/Support visions, because that will reduce your chances of rolling the Undead Avatar verse.

The mystery transformation verses do not require collecting visions. You can use a mystery verse at any time, and any visions collected prior to using it don't affect which transformation you receive. You can eat the verse immediately upon entering at Arc 1-1-1, and the like result would be equally possible if eaten at Arc 5-5-4 regardless which visions you've collected.

For the purpose of earning the achievement, you need all three Visions before picking the associated Verse. The OP is asking for advice on how to unlock that achievement.

While you can use the transformation via a Mystery Transformation Verse prior to collecting the three associated Visions, doing so will not earn you the achievement.

Once you have collected the three Visions, you want to start by using a Mystery Offensive/Defensive/Utility Verse, according to the category in which the desired transformation Verse belongs, before using a Mystery Transformation Verse. If you use the Mystery Transformation Verse first, you won't be able to roll a transformation from the Mystery Offensive/Defensive/Utility Verse.

That's why, once you have unlocked the desired transformation Verse via unlocking the three associated Visions, you want to start by trying to roll for that specific transformation Verse first, before falling back to the Mystery Transformation Verse for another shot at rolling for your desired transformation.

You can get credit for the verse portion of the achievement before collecting the visions. There are 4 pieces to collect in the achievement.. each of the 3 visions and the verse. Upon using a mystery verse, you get credit for that part of the achievement regardless which of the 3 visions you have or have not yet collected.

When I first started running IA, I got an achievement completion after grabbing a vision during a run because I'd already had that transformation from a mystery verse in an earlier run.

As well, you don't use the Mystery Offensive or Defensive Verses to trigger the transformations. You instead use the Mystery Transformation verses.

Screenshot showing the Mystery verse used, and the steps required for completing the achievement.

Ok I managed to get all three visions and the transformation verse in arc 2. Finally. Finally I was able to complete that achievement. Insane how often I have to complain on the forum to get those things in the end :D
