"No valid reason at all" is a pretty hard claim to make when I've already given several specific reasons for a nerf.
I've pointed out that Streak is an instant AoE CC that is unblockable and undodgeable, has no meaningful target cap, deals damage, and is attached to arguably the strongest mobility ability in the game. There isn't another ability that comes close to combining that level of utility, CC, and mobility into one skill.
I've also explained why the lack of a target cap is particularly problematic in group PvP, where small groups and ball groups can use it for instant mass CC.
You don't have to agree that those things justify a nerf, but simply saying there is "no valid reason at all" without addressing any of them isn't really an argument. It's just dismissing the argument without engaging with it.
If none of those are valid reasons in your view, then explain why. That's the part I'm interested in hearing.
You forgot to mention it's a 15m skill shot that requires aiming and fails to work on uneven terrain and against mobile targets.
Imagine calling a 6×15m area a skill shot. LOL.
You barely need to aim — just point Streak in their general direction and you're hitting them. Calling this a skill shot like it requires precision is ridiculous. It's arguably the easiest CC in the game to land.
Easiest CC to land lol. Javelin is a max range CC that's way easier to land.

Javelin isn't really comparable to Streak at all.
Javelin is single-target and dodgeable, and its base range is 22m, so calling it "max range" is misleading. It also doesn't benefit from Cyrodiil's range bonuses in the same way abilities with a lower base range do.
If you actually want to compare Javelin to a Sorc CC, Rune Cage is the much more appropriate comparison. Rune Cage has significantly more range and can reach roughly 41m in Cyrodiil with the relevant range bonuses.
And that's before getting to the obvious difference: Templar doesn't have an AoE CC equivalent to Streak. Sorc gets both a superior long-range single-target CC and Streak.
Streak is an instant AoE CC that is unblockable and undodgeable, has a massive hit area, deals damage, has no meaningful target cap, and simultaneously functions as arguably the strongest mobility ability in the game.
So comparing a dodgeable, single-target Javelin to Streak because "it's easier to land" doesn't really tell us anything about Streak's balance. You're comparing two completely different types of CC.

Pretty much every other CC has to give something up. Fear requires you to get into close range, while other AoE CCs are blockable or dodgeable. Streak bypasses all of those normal restrictions while being attached to the strongest mobility skill in the game.
Streak can remain an excellent mobility tool. I just don't think the CC should get to bypass every normal restriction placed on other CCs.
Sorc already lost its mobility when everyone has access to movement speed tools. Asking for Streak to be nerfed is a slap in the face lol. You want Streak nerfed? Remove easy access to mobility then. It's infuriating to see a Templar or DK sprint as fast as my Sorc when my class is supposed to be the fastest class in the game. What a joke

Because Sorc's theme is lightning. The class has been fine for years. Don't touch the parts that arent a problem.

I wouldn't call rune cage superior to javelin. The kockback allows for landing an extra ability after which many ccs don't, it actually does good damage especially at 22 meters, since it scales with distance and ignores armor.

The original comparison was Javelin vs. Streak because the argument was that Streak doesn't need a nerf because Javelin is easier to land.
If you genuinely think Javelin is the superior ability to Streak, I'm sure plenty of Templars would be happy to trade abilities with you.
Javelin is not a meaningful comparison to Streak in the first place.
The basic problem with Streak is pretty simple. It's a button that lets you move through a group, damage everyone, and instantly stun everyone you hit, while the people being hit can't block or dodge the CC. Then the Sorc gets to keep moving.
That's an enormous amount of value from one ability, especially when there's no target cap. You don't have to be an expert in ESO mechanics to understand why giving one ability that many advantages might deserve another look.

Nope. Shan’t. Too old and too tired for this constant bs about ‘nerf this nerf that’ when the majority of players do not care, and those that do will just find the new meta to follow, leaving the majority wondering why a skill that was fun & functional no longer is either.
I appreciate pvp needs some balancing (oh gods it does) but this constant tinkering with one skill, or part of a skill, is not helping.

You wrote that sorc gets a superior long range single target CC, and that's what I responded too, hence why I also used the term "superior". I don't think javelin is better than Streak, ofc it's not, but it is definitely better than rune Cage.

Lol that video is ridiculous. So sprinting and locking your stam regen and ability to cast skills is the equivalent to streak where you instantly cross a distance, can blockcast to reduce damage taken if needed, and then can turn your camera to plan your next GCD. Alright. Streak is too weak!
Your video actually shows that streak is freaking OP. A competent sorc could LOS and become unhittable and negate damage in the same way a NB cloak negates damage. If you actually managed to get close, streak stun would stop you again.
Also you had hurricane, most classes do not have Minor Expedition in their kit. If a class builds 3x swift they lose damage.

Someone else gaining access to movement speed doesn't mean Sorc somehow "lost" its mobility. You still have Streak, and it remains an extremely strong mobility tool.
And I still don't understand where this idea comes from that Sorcerer is **supposed to be the fastest class in the game**. That's a player-created class identity, not some rule ZOS has established. Until then, "my class is supposed to be the fastest" isn't really an argument for leaving Streak's CC untouched.
The discussion is about whether Streak is overtuned as a CC. Other classes gaining access to movement speed doesn't change that.

Sorc was the fastest class to make up for its weakness of having little defensive heals. Unless you're telling me a Templar should be able to move as quickly as a Sorc??

Honestly, this video doesn't paint Streak in the light you think it does.
The player you're chasing is walking between casts instead of sprinting, so they're making a pretty poor effort to actually escape. Meanwhile, you're sprinting at full speed the entire time and still can't catch them. If they had been sprinting between Streak casts as well, they would've created even more distance.
So you have someone making a mediocre effort to escape while you're making your best possible effort to catch them, and they're still outpacing you. That's not exactly compelling evidence that Streak's mobility is weak.
And again, this thread isn't about nerfing the mobility. The issue is the CC attached to it. The mobility can remain strong while the instant, AoE, unblockable, undodgeable CC gets some reasonable restrictions.

I think you're moving the goalposts a bit. You said Sorc is supposed to be the fastest class, and I specifically asked you to show me where ZOS has actually stated that. You still haven't.
You're also arguing from a 2018 class balance philosophy as though it's still the current game. The old argument that Sorc's mobility compensates for its weaker defensive healing is much less relevant now with subclassing, scribing, and class mastery. Sorcs can access tools like Healing Soul, while Conservation of Energy is itself a class mastery, so those old class tradeoffs aren't nearly as rigid as they once were.
And no, I'm not saying Templar needs to be as mobile as Sorc. I'm saying that other classes gaining movement tools doesn't mean Sorc has somehow "lost" its mobility.
If you have an actual ZOS statement saying Sorcerer is explicitly designed to be the fastest class in the game that isn't from 2015, I'd genuinely like to see it. Otherwise, you're presenting a historical player perception of Sorc's identity as if it's an established design rule.
More importantly, none of this actually addresses the original argument. The thread is about whether Streak's CC component is overtuned. If you think the CC is balanced, argue that. Telling me Sorc is supposed to be the fastest class doesn't explain why an instant AoE CC should be unblockable, undodgeable, have no target cap, deal damage, and be attached to one of the strongest mobility abilities in the game.

I'm not asking for Streak to be nerfed into oblivion or for Sorc to lose its mobility identity. I'm asking for the CC component to have some reasonable counterplay.
What a joke
I also think Streak is a bit overtuned specifically as a CC. No one is calling for its mobility to be removed, so I'm not sure why you keep bringing up Sorc's mobility in this thread.
If you have a ZOS statement saying Sorc is explicitly designed to be the fastest class, I'd genuinely like to see it.
I think you're moving the goalposts a bit. You said Sorc is supposed to be the fastest class, and I specifically asked you to show me where ZOS has actually stated that. You still haven't.

I'm not moving the goal post. Sorc was one of the few, if not the only class with access to Minor Expedition via class abilities up until Summerset.
You relying on ZOS as the authority makes your case worse, especially when the combat team demonstrated a lack of PvP experience during one of their BG streams. You don't refer to ZOS to talk about balance. You refer to the top players in the game who spent years on a class and know it inside out.
Uh hello?? Sorc did lose mobility because people are faster..If I moved at 80mph while you moved at 50mph, and you suddenly gained 10mph, the gap is now 20mph instead of 30. You are no longer faster relative to other people. That is literally how math works..
And yes, Streak is supposed to behave like that for the risk it has and the class' inherent lack of defensive heals. That has been a thing for years up until U50.
I don't really care what your argument is. They all fall short the moment you step into Cyro and fight people. There is a reason why Sorc only became meta after U50 class masteries and were basically nonexistent

By that logic, Sorcs gaining access to Healing Soul means Templars have lost healing, because Sorc now has access to tools that previously helped distinguish Templar defensively.
That's obviously not how this works. Other classes gaining access to tools doesn't mean a class has somehow "lost" something or that every historical class tradeoff has to remain frozen forever when the game has changed drastically with subclassing, class masteries, and scribing.
Have you gotten around to addressing the actual issue yet — why Streak gets arguably the strongest CC in the game by a mile compared to every other CC, while also attaching it to the strongest mobility tool in the game?

You are arguing semantics. Sorc's whole identity was a hit-and-run class and it relied on positioning/CC to survive. Take a look at the class' defensive kit. Dark Deal/Conversion heal is a fixed tooltip locked behind a channel that can be interrupted. Crit Surge is a heal that requires dealing critical damage to proc, so RNG based. Hardened Ward has no heal attached anymore.
Even if you consider Healing Soul burst heal, Sorc still does not have good defensive healing compared to other classes prior to U50. It needs to do damage and position well to survive, or else it dies. People who only played classes with good defensive heals generally struggled when they hopped on Sorc because they never developed the skills required to pilot that class.
So when ZOS made movement speed readily available, Sorc lost its edge yet only gained minimal compensation in return. It's laughable that you are trying hard to argue semantics when I'm in Cyrodiil getting chased down by DKs and Templars moving at max speed while on my Sorc. By definition, Sorc lost its mobility because other classes are faster. When all classes can move at speed cap, there is no gap, hence mobility is lost.
Please stop arguing semantics. It sounds fancy, but it's fundamentally flawed.
