I don`t like PVPing, this is a game that was bought by a person and they can play it the way they want. To tell people how they play is wrong, this is what makes PVPing interesting is the dynamic`s of different classes. The OP does have a point about the ball groups but you cannot have your cake and eat it also. My suggestion: stay clear or try another campaign.

I envy that 5 sorc team the OP've met, sounds like they had good time playing I wouldn't take away that fun, I would rather see that every class has different fun options as well.

Totally, and I wonder what class would some people want to nerf if sorc was nerfed too Nerfs are taking away the enjoyment, and I hope someday developers stop nerfing things and instead let every player have many fun options.

ESO has so many different classes and skills, and it gives players a huge amount of freedom when it comes to building their characters. The ideal situation should therefore be to have **a wide variety of viable builds**, rather than having everyone converge on the same few options.

This isn’t just about class balance—it’s also about player balance.

Highly skilled players will adapt to balance changes and switch to different builds in order to maintain good results. But a reasonable level of class balance is essential for ordinary players to have a healthy PvP experience.

It’s difficult to achieve perfect balance between every class once and for all, but there shouldn’t be **huge gaps in power between them**.

Actually my opinion on this has changed. I think they should do a massively egregious thing... Remove the current refreshes and reimplement all of them together. You're only seeing a problem with Sorcs because the other classes got nerfed by proxy of Dks and WWs getting a buff.

They should honestly undo all the refreshes and reimplement them with the other classes ALL AT THE SAME TIME. Otherwise we are just going to be going through the same painful *** that caused the refreshes to happen in the first place. But mostly because half the playerbase is impatient, but I'm not necessarily judging because this is a poor state to keep the game in for this period of time. Releasing class refreshes one at a time is one of the biggest mistakes I've ever seen for an online MMO

because that would take knowledge and understanding of the game/classes beyond just repeatedly crying some form of "SoRc Op".

Oh ffs. Seriously? I’m playing my sorc in Cyro now, not because I chase whatever meta, but because it’s fun & I have a slight chance against the dominant dk/ww/stupid amount of damage & health & shields builds.

And its the latter I’m more concerned about. Those players with huge health, ridiculous shields, unlimited resources & decent damage. Some dks, some sorcs, some even wardens, that run around and are basically unkillable. That’s the issue, not the class.

sigh, again, i wish more people were around sooner for these discussions before zos relented and blindly nerfed dk for no reason, instead of doing what they said they'd do and buff the other classes as well to make up for lack of refreshes.

Agreed, been saying it for a while and people got so mad they messaged me in game over it. And exactly what I said happened, people see sorcs are super strong, always have been, and they're getting buffed on top of dk nerfs while the other classes just remain where they are.

Makes no sense at all.

And now people want sorc nerfs too. Inevitable endless cycle.

I don't think I will ever understand the "never nerf" mentality. If one thing is too strong the entire game should be rebalanced rather than just adjusting the one thing? Glad you're not my boss lol

There was nothing blind about the nerfs to Dragonknight.

Molten Whip was hitting harder than Spec Bow, and that’s its whole identity. If your idea of fun is everyone dying in 1-2 hits, there are games designed for that.

I dont really need to add anything more with hyperbole like this, and your diagram explaining why dk wings is superior to streak (its not).

They were a kneejerk reaction to a few outlier examples of whip performing extremely high compared to the norm. DK shouldn't have been nerfed, but people will see that soon when the patch goes live and sorc oppresses them in ways dk cannot and all the focus is on them.

DK nor WW aren't going anywhere next patch. The DK sustain nerf is going to be pretty minimal, and even though whip is having 50% of its damage cut from seething fury stacks, DK is still going to have plenty of damage to burst you down in 1 GCD. The only difference is that whip isn't going to deal 95% of your health bar. Both inhale and flames of oblivion are going to make up for the missing damage because they both deal spammable tier damage and can go off at the same exact time alongside whip. WWs will also still be present, they'll all just move to sorc WW if they haven't already because conservation of energy will make the sustain nerfs irrelevant. You're really only seeing a lot of sorcs right now both because some people don't like the current meta and want to play something else while still having a chance, and, to not be overly rude or full of myself, because some people want to pretend sorc is off meta and think they're better for playing it over DK or WW. But yes, pure sorc is going to receive a pretty good buff next patch because 3k pen is going to do more for them than 6% crit does now, and that is going to cause more people to try them out.

That last parts the most important bit, yea dk isnt going anywhere, but the way these forums work is a class gets improved, people try it out in abundance because they're interested naturally, it performs well because of said changes, and populates cyrodiil/battlegrounds, then people come here begging for nerfs.

Been goin on for years, and instead of just improving another class to switch it up like nightblades or arcanist, they just decide to throw around nerfs that will of course also annoy the pve crowd who then blames pvpers, and it goes on and on and on.

I really dont get why people do not nag zos for buffs instead of just nerfing everything that makes them mad.
