With many people enjoying their summer breaks, we would like to actually play the game that we pay a subscription for every month, the way that we want to play it. I don't want to be a test rabbit for ZOS' unwanted campaign.

Which is a week without GH that we pay to play and have no access to right now. Taking away GH is something ZOS said they weren't going to do.

Maybe they should take housing away for a week. Or maybe remove trials for a week. That would probably help you realize how wrong this is.

Not sure what the subscription has to do with a base-game feature, but whatever. And since the OP threw this out for the whole community, how about a rousing "I don't care"? I don't play in Grey Host at all, so whether it's available or not doesn't matter one whit for me. I play in Blackreach in preference to Vengeance when I go into Cyrodiil, but I'm not losing a second of sleep over not being able to enter that campaign for a week.
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

ZOS told us they were not going to shut down GH. Yet here we are.

Because they need the numbers in Vengeance to test. Given the boycott by the PvP community they haven't had the numbers needed, so it forced ZOS' hand.

You all keep talking as if Vengeance as is is the finished product. It's a test environment trying to get as close to the GH ruleset as possible without tanking performance.

Literally just bring Gray Host back.

I truly believe the core open-world PvP audience is in Gray Host, and the developers’ ability to remain this deaf to community feedback is astonishing. The voice of the PvP community could not be any louder or clearer, yet these tests continue to be forced upon us.

We do not want these mandated tests. You have been incapable of communicating whether they are genuinely intended to improve Gray Host and benefit the existing PvP community, or if they are simply part of a broader effort to further develop Vengeance. The continued silence strongly suggests the latter.

Until these concerns are properly addressed, many of us will not be participating. If you want our feedback and contribution, then answer the community’s questions, bring Gray Host back, and stop removing the campaign that your core PvP audience actually logs in to play every day.

At some point, you have to ask yourselves why the overwhelming majority of feedback has been negative and why players continue asking for Gray Host’s return every single time these tests are announced.

If I wanted to test stuff I would download the PTS

I don't want to spend the 2 hours I get in the evening testing Vengeance. As far as I'm concerned that is up to Zos to test, not me as the paying customer?

I just want to play Grey Host. If they can't provide that, then I will have to find another game to play

ZOS can test vengeance all on their own. They don't need us to do so. And thinking ZOS is somehow a victim of the PvP players deciding not to play a game mode they didn't sign up for is delusional.

It's past time for ZOS to do what they've told us for over a decade they are doing. Time for ZOS to fix something, anything, in GH. And no, sorry, vengeance IS NOT an effort to improve GH. It probably never was even though that's how ZOS sold it in the beginning.

    You're wrong.

    (Dang I'm funny)

We can turn it into a discussion. The forum has more users than OP. Have a little faith in us.

My problem with the current Vengeance test is that so far it hasn't really brought anything back to GH. It's not the first test and most likely it will not be the last. Gameplay on Vengeance is so far removed from the freedom you have in GH that it's just not enjoyable. Some of the people that are 'needed' for the Vengeance test are either not informed, because there's no ingame info on Vengeance.

Plus that a lot of us don't have the same amount of spare time for gaming as for example when we were still in college. Meaning: what we do with our time is precious. When ZOS 'needs' our time and takes away a gamemode that people love (even if temporary!) it needs to be treated with respect: feedback needs to be taken serious, communication needs to be taken serious. I haven't even seen a feedback thread yet. ZOS has historically been very bad with communication, and in regards to PvP sometimes downright disrespectful.

ZOS has also been fairly good in ignoring feedback, bug reports and questions from the community. Not just in Vengeance but also for PTS. You can only disrespect the time and effort of your paying customers for a couple of times before they become sceptical.

Count that all up to the not-so-great timing after the recent mass firing of people at ZOS. Terrible for the people that have lost their jobs, but to the customer it does mean that what ZOS chooses to do carries more weight.

So yeah, some people have very strong opinions on Vengeance. I play with people that don't even log into ESO when GH is not available for this test. Some people just get a bit more cynical when they stop believing in rainbows and unicorns.

Anyway, this was my speech. As you can see I'm not a native English speaker and also I'm fairly opinionated, lol.

    Enjoy your game!

ZOS have removed a game mode that people are paying to play. Now they can't because ZOS removed GH. It's not hard to understand.

When someone pulls the "I have a graduate degree in quantitative methods" card on a video game forum, they are applying academic standards to what is essentially a digital suggestion box, but let me do the same. Whatever qualifications you have pale in comparison to mine, I have an IQ 5 standard deviations above the mean, I have also been on ESO since beta and have performed at the top level for 8 years!!!!

It’s not a scientific study; it’s a community petition because people are frustrated that the main PvP campaign was taken offline for a test they didn't ask for. If people think the OP is wrong, the 'No' button works just fine regardless of the narrative in the comments. ESO forum polls have always functioned as community petitions or barometers for sentiment among highly engaged players, and believe it or not, while there is no quantitative way to measure right and wrong when it comes to opinions, there is a way to measure what the majority opinion is, and it's very clear.

I prefer Vengeance but voted reopened out of solidarity with the GH people.

I also think the test already gave results they needed. GH people don’t like it, the people who liked Vengeance before don’t like it because of the addition of sets and it also proved performance is total crapfest when there is big fight going on.

so i found one of the self entitled here, no surprise

What is self entitled about wanting to play what was paid for? Imagine paying a mortgage on your house and the bank just saying "this week another family is moving in, you can stay in the shed out back for that week." Hows this for data.

Every evening I log in to say hi to the gang while they struggle to find something else to do during these tests, I look and everyone's on ep zerging the other two factions 2 bars to one, and despite the promise of large scale battles 300v300v300 only one faction ever gets close to 300 because again, everyone's filling in on ep.

and i went from having near 30 friends online at once to under 7, all pvpers, and maybe 3 are in vengeance.

Thats a dot on the graph as well, how many more before you draw the line.
