No offense but stress test can also be done via simulation. Having the paying customers as test subjects is a very cheap solution. There are so many other things they could do other than force participation. If I'd receive a letter from Queen Ayrenn stating that the Aldmeri Dominion requires my service in a new campaign and offers a reward for participation I'd join without hesitation. The fact that Grey Host just disappeared brings a half-baked lame test server vibe to the actual live servers. It is below the standard which I'd expect.

I disagree, I don’t even know how they could do a simulation of players in Cyrodiil, and it would only be as good as the assumptions made on creating the simulation. Seems like it would as effective as this spreadsheet that we keep hearing about. This has to be a live test with enough players to fill the populations bars, because players do unpredictable things when they are in combat. I agree with doing the tests, I just am not sure they have been focusing on everything that needs to be tested. I have also not learned what information they got from previous tests so doing another one just for the sake of it would not necessarily be wise.

So they did focus on proc sets this time, and it seemed a no-brainer as to how it would work out, it causes lag which we have known about already. More calculations, more stress on the servers. However, weren’t we already told that previous tests showed no correlation? How do we even know that their tests can give them the results that we see on our PCs and consoles? What will they say about proc sets from their point of view? Maybe it only manifests itself on the client side because the server thinks it is keeping up but it isn’t? What if the servers are sending more information than the clients can keep up with? I certainly have lots of unanswered questions.
