Vengeance much improved

I really disliked the last Vengeance test and the Vengeance campaign. I didn't expect much improvement.

However adding sets turned out really well IMO. There is now all the build variety of GH , just lacks the CPs, but adds many possible builds on top of equal stats for all.

I even saw effective bombers, although it was more effective with a two man.

Performance is much better than GH. I usually play on a gaming desktop; when I try to play in GH on steamdeck, it can't handle it and crashes. I played all night on steamdeck and it could handle the game no problem.

Faster horses, adjusted guard strength are big improvements

I think ball groups will be able to have a distinct advantage but not be unkillable as they are in GH.

All the sets I tried worked. But you can see some sets are performing very strongly in Vengeance. Theory crafters will definitely find some things try. I have a lot of things I will want to try.

People who don't like build variety, and 1vXers probably will still not like Vengeance. There is a definite skill ceiling that expert players will not like. But the big battles were very fun.
4 GOs, 2 Generals, and bunches of prefects etc-- all classes...I've wasted a lot of time in PVP over the last 9 years

Happy for you, cool to see some positive posts on the forums.

I was confused with the weapon/spell damage implications and about what set is actually working and what set does not - it'd be really helpful from ZOS if they'd list or outright disable sets those are not working, but one can wonder if they even know what is working and what does not.. so anyway, my Vengance experience so far was varying to say the least, one time I had fun, two times I stumbled upon something disfunctional and just leaved due to frustration.

Is it better than before? Yes. Is it fun now? Definitely not.

I did not intend to play it, but then I was reading about Veterancy and decided to hop in for a moment to have a look. 3 hours later...
I did actually enjoy it, there is something about not having to care about gear at all, just hop in, have some fun and just roll with it. The massive performance improvements did the rest. It's so nice when skills fire when you press a button, not at some point later.

"A definite skill ceiling" , ah that's a good one. Especially when the system by default gives even more advantages to the #s in Vengeance. Real good one.
