There is also another book that seems TG related that isn't even on UESP but is in EM: Librarian Henard's Journal - not his notes, but his journal.

    u5nr7wdl6u1j.png

I think the Skaafin gave me the book in the Hidden Library after I told him I was part of the Mages Guild.

It may be in the Mages Guild in Daggerfall as a post-quest but I checked my quest items at every stage and read everything that was possible. So it's defo a bugged book.

Edit: Nope not in Daggerfall Mages Guild. Onto my bug list it goes.

The bug might be that the book is not lootable from the Skaafin's body, in case you chose not to persuade him about being in the mages guild and he becomes hostile instead. The two times I played through the questline (PTS and live) I persuaded him and he gave me the book. I hope they still add a post-quest location for those that did not get it in that scene.

I persuaded him. Didn't need to fight/kill him. Not the first book that has been read from inventory but not registered. One of the Companion books does it too.

Ah, I see. Yeah, that's annoying and has happened to me as well in the past. Hope they fix it.

Regarding "Season One Books" collection, I currently have 22 out of 32 books.
Out of the 10 missing ones, 9 seem to be related to Sheogorath, so they will likely drop with the upcoming update.
As of right now, 'Silver-Eye's Orders' should be the only one that is actually missing or bugged

Given what was talked about above and with friends of mine not on the forums I think Librarian Henard's Journal can also be conditionally bugged for some people.

Appears to have been for me. And there is no post-quest location that I can find.

Given the bugged state of the final DC freerunner quest, it's likely Ring of Daggers Torn Logbook is bugged.

Between this and the Librarian Henard's Journal I am very annoyed....Hoping that post-layoffs the commitment to fixing the bugged book list is still on the table. I know it's a small thing but it's important to me and a lot of my friends not on the forums who love the lore and most should be small fixes/post locations. Can't pretend I'm not worried though.

Silver-Eye's Orders is one of the easiest missable books ever.
Quest related to the 5th new thieves guild quest Wolf Trap.

During this quest you have to speak with Captain Sansonne at some point (after visiting Silver-Eye and meeting Quen).
The next quest stage is Go to Rols Boron's Warehouse.

If you want to find Silver-Eye's Orders it is neccessary to go there from the north!

If you don't, the following quest steps are triggering too fast and the cartel corpse with the book is no more interactable.
It is just during the quest step Find Rennah - before she leaves her hideout and the quest step changes immediatly to Talk to Rennah.
go to the warehouse from the north, in a wide arc around the quest target location, before triggering the following quest step

When the next quest step (Find Rennah) has triggered...
    ffldidjcvedw.jpg

turn around to the north and interact with the cartel corpse

Silver-Eye's Orders gets its entry in EM automatically, you can also find it as a quest item in your bag.

No post quest location found yet.

Man, this sucks, but well done for finding it, hopefully they add a post quest location.

If you haven’t read Noth’s notes on Maddy from your EQ during the final task before the battle with Maddy and right up until the end of the quest, then unfortunately there is no post-quest location (at least, I haven’t found one yet).

Honestly, I don't get why they keep making the same mistakes with lorebooks, introducing new books every time without a post-quest location.
Instead of chasing the same old bugs... couldn't they just get it right the first time?

Incredible! I'm going to run the quests on another character just to check out the spot you're talking about.
I completely missed that book, I honestly thought it wasn't even in the game!
And here we go again... back to square one, waiting for a post-quest location fix!

Probably too difficult to remember? Who knows. Still, something like an NPC librarian would be a good option, as they could offer books, notes or journals, provided the related quests have been completed. However, I suspect that wouldn’t be an ideal solution.
