Aerie's Cry should not stack

Mediocre_Talents
Name another proc set that stacks? If you fight 2-3 wardens wearing this set, you can have 2-3 birds all hitting you between 5-8k damage every few seconds? How is this okay? The patch notes even said "sorry papers out there". Everyone is abusing this set, and playing solo against a group of wardens is really no fun at all. If this set was designed to troll this bad then cut the damage in half with battle spirit.

A set shouldn't be playing the game for people, but ZOS doesn't care these days. That's why I just fire siege. Seriously.

Siege is different! Especially when I'm firing 6 coldfires. It's totally fair. Cause it's siege.

It’s not PvPers you hurt with making it not stack it’s all the warden DDs in PvE that finally have a cool dps set.

The set can still be good if it doesn’t stack. This just means when you’re getting chased by more than 1 warden, you are not also dealing with birds that do a ton of damage for a proc set.
It also does a flat 10% damage across the board, so it would still be good in PvE.
In PvP, there is no other proc set that stacks and allows multiple people to proc the same thing.

Every single dot in the game proc-set or not works like this. Nothing unusual about this set in terms of functionality and intention.

Playing solo against any group of players in any class, you'd die regardless of the set effect stacking unless they are just light attacks only type.

Stop nerfing our gear and characters over PvP! Stop nerfing our gear! I am a Warden Main. Its well beyond time to stop calling for nerfs to my character and its gear. Its already bad enough we have heard it for a year, nerf Warden Charm. Then it was, well the Shattered Path Signet can apply to everyone, just not a Warden. Now it's, ruin our Class set. Absolutely not. It is 10 years overdue to finally tell PvP they are not going to get their way anymore. And stop catering to them by ruining our characters.

I play PvP too. The DK and Werewolf are fine too by the way. People enjoy them and they do not need nerfed or ruined because someone doesn't like what killed them. They are fine as is. This constant PvP nerf cycle must finally come to an end. And its time for 10 years of something else moving forward.

Really? So 2 people wearing snake in the stars can both proc that set on one player? They can not. Can venomous smite, shared pain or plague break? They can not. This is not how every set in the game works my friend.
I hate to burst your bubble but DoT’s do not stack. Applying the same DoT just refreshes the timer.

That’s what battle spirit is for. No one asked for PVE nerfs. No one asked for class nerfs either. I didn’t say warden should be nerfed.
Also, the warden charm was getting people stuck in the environment so it absolutely needed to be changed.

That has not been the case since like 2016 lol. But you can believe whatever you want to believe? Unless the set(like plaguebreak) specifically specifies that it can only occur once per target, a dot of any kind from any set without a stated restrictive description will in fact stack from multiple different people on a singular source.

Kjalnar's Nightmare does not stack per wearer.

You have a communal stack pool on the target and everyone has to obey the cooldown even if they were not the one who applied the final proc effect.

This seems like a pretty easy tweak to make in Battle Spirit so that PvE stacking is left alone (mobs don't complain anyway).

Kjalnar specifies it in the tooltip, "immune to nightmare stacks for 4 seconds" so not an outlier.

Also just to clarify I'm not saying I'm for or against the premise of the original post, just pointing out that the spreadsheet is surprisingly consistent across the board in this department. There definitely should be more battle-spirit exceptions placed on obnoxious proc sets.

Aerie's cry is another example where if given a blanket nerf to address pvp obnoxiousicity then it would render warden dps in pve a poor-er state, relegating a fun class set to use back into the dumpster. A specific battlespirit nerf allows aerie cry to still have use in pvp if they go the rule exception route(they have yet to demonstrate this) instead they will simply disable it in pvp...(par the course) and this is equally bad.

Right, my point was rather than ZOS is aware that certain procs are overpowered if they are allowed to stack from multiple wearers, as Kjalnar demonstrates.

Though Kjalnar should also have Battle Spirit applied to free it from purgatory in PvE. As I doubt that any boss cares about being hit with the fist too many times.
