Thieves Troves....

Man ever since U50 ...

I've been climing Glenumbra up & down for the past 3 days and none of the thieves troves are ever active...

I've even come on at daft o clock to see if that helps so im not fighting against others tryna get the new leads but nothing .... can we please rather increase the amount of troves available or decrease the time in which it takes for them to spawn in because man this is soul draining ...

Thieves troves have always had a ridiculously long respawn time. You just might be only noticing now because you're now actively looking for them.

A few weeks before U50 I spent hours hunting for that one lead piece for the summerset music box, that only comes from thieves troves. It was awful... I found more psijic portals then thieves troves, and it didn't seem to matter which zone. I also have a map add-on that shows where troves spawn, so I wasn't even searching blind. At least that one dropped from any zone. So the fact that they made a trove lead spawn from a single zone is just... Awful planning... They need to reduce the respawn timers on these immediately.

It doesn't help either that Glenumbra is now crawling with players farming thieves troves. I've made a few token runs at them, and found that all too often when I get even within spitting distance of one other players will sprint past to get there first.

I've managed to get one of the armory station leads from heists (after twelve or so heists), but none from troves. I haven't yet managed to successfully loot enough troves to determine drop rate. Not that it's likely to be any different from all other lead drops But it's becoming increasingly clear that for the next few months or so (while so many players are all funneled into the same zone) that farming heists will be more efficient than troves.

The leads should drop from Thieves Troves across all of Tamriel IMHO.

I collected all five pieces from troves n Glenumbra. The respawn is about 10-20 minutes and it can respawn into one of multiple troves.

Definitely tedious but doable.

Just found one of these Armory Station leads in a Thieves Trove in Abah's Landing (restricted Area), the Wooden Display Board.
So it's not possible at Glenumbra only, also in Hew's Bane at least.

It was the fourth lead for the second exemplar for me. All other leads came from Thieves Troves in Glenumbra (the first Wooden Display Board too), zero from Heists so far.

The drop chances seems very good - if one is able to catch the Thieves Troves. On PC EU at night time (luckily can play then sometimes) I was able to find a Thieves Trove in roundabout every 5th possible spawn source, so ~ between 5 to 10 in one round on that map. And i did find 1-2 leads in ervery run so far. So it seems to be (of course no valid numbers till now) an around 20% chance. But like i said, only at times, when Thieves Troves are findable.
Will check other maps too.

Omg, faced this the first time right now. Could grab the trove in time, but it was kinda creepy. Phew.

Managed to complete this today. I'll have to walk back my previous speculation that heists would be more efficient. When I logged in this morning I had one lead from yesterday. My first heist of the day resulted in a lead, so I took that character to Hew's Bane, found two more leads before the zone became overrun. Hopped over to Glenumbra and got my final lead. All in all, I spent perhaps 2 hours this morning hunting the last 4.

Final tally, 2 leads from heists, 3 leads from troves (2 Hew's Bane, 1 Glenumbra).

I'm stuck at 4 leads at the moment. The 5th refuses to drop.
Edit: To add insult to injury the last trove of the day dropped the lead for the Breton Well, Storm Grey. Really???

For those that got all 5, how many troves (approximately) did it take? I got 4 at a reasonable pace, but now the 5th (the wooden display board) just refuses to drop.

Experienced the same with the 5th lead of the 2nd exemplar. Therefor i needed about 5-6 troves for one lead, so roundabout 50 troves for 9 leads, for the 10th one i had to open, i would say ~20 extra troves till i got it.

Same one I am missing. The first 4 were quick drops from thieves troves in hews Bane. I even tried switching to Glenumbra to try, but no luck.

I have not received a lead from any heist though I run those on 3 characters now.

The 5th one for me took about 4 hours of continuously checking troves to get (it was another piece, not the board)

I am not currently chasing these leads however I got the wooden board one from Glenumbra.

To be exact there is a trove that occasionally appears on the top of a cupboard, above the bed on one of the ships in Daggerfall(the ones down from the crafting writs drop in), it dropped from there.

you need to farm in off hours, either late or very early, I have gather 2 full armour stations by now, going on the 3 so I can get it from vendor.

When chasing Thieves Troves, I find it best to find a loop with 6 - 8 troves along it. Let them spawn along your route as you repeat the loop instead of chasing them all around the map.

Just checking because my RNG seems to be pretty bad, and I don't want to be wasting time.

Also, are the Koldane motifs available from Heists now, or not until U51?

The patch notes are not at all clear.
