    My big complaint is that the respawn rate is too quick in some spots. A large group ran through and before we even finished off the last enemy the whole group of them respawned on top of us. Multiple times.

    PSA to everyone: the Night Market update removed a handful of items from my collections on PS5. I'm missing several mounts and it also weirdly removed the chest piece of one outfit that I've found so far. Check your stuff and submit a support ticket. I've played for years so here's hoping there aren't more items I haven't noticed yet

    What??!! Are you serious??? Is there going to be a fix for this?

    I am a casual player - former hardcore player.
    I am completely overwhelmed by the difficulty of the night market. Even with a full 12 person trial group we really got our behinds handed to us.
    ESO is my comfort game, as my job is extremely stressful. So far I enjoyed questing, dungeons, vet dungeons and trials. I dont mind higher difficulty if we can opt in or opt out. Folks need to mind that most people are casual about gaming. If you want hard content you should be able to opt in.

    Please make Night Market easier. So far I will not try it again.

    Biggest thing I'm fighting in Guild Chat - "This is stupid! I don't have access to Fargrave!"!
    I explain how to port to Night Market Directly.

    "Well so what? I still can't go into Fargrave!"
    I explain how that isn't necessary.

    "Well I don't do group stuff!"
    Welp, then you're not doing the Night Market. I solo a lot of stuff, but those mobs are not it.

    1) The re-spawn time is ridiculously too fast;

    2) The difficulty level is too much overall; this is coming from someone who regularly does vet DLC HMs (not trials, granted). Most of my group did OK, but we're mostly-organized (not sweaty, but serious casuals). The random casual players that we picked up got absolutely wrecked and what little chatter I saw in zone chat was not positive. I think of the casual player by default (because we need them to keep the game going) and I'm totally dumbfounded at the difficulty that ZOS landed on after the PTS feedback (I suppose I really shouldn't be surprised);

    3) Groups are being put in different instances;

    4) The rewards are garbage: Mother's Sorrow, Plague Doctor, etc...really? I couldn't care less about a gold Mother's Sorrow Bow. Come on, ZOS. The occasional piece of trial gear is at least a little different - the casual players may not have much of that stuff, but overland gear? Giving "casual rewards" for Vet-Level content is insulting;

    5) It's a bloody confusing mess overall: starting the dang thing, what quests can be shared and why or why not, the seemingly random quests (dailies?) that some group members are seeing and other not seeing, and even just placing--in my case--the Lamp to unlock one of the little closet rooms in the house was silly to figure out until I finally saw it in the in-game mail. The lack of information, as usual, is quite frustrating. The players will figure it out over the next few weeks, but by then the damage will be done and our opinions solidified (remember The Wall event);

    6) The desire to have some friendly competition amongst the factions is understandable, but is also silly: it was pretty much immediately obvious who will win, as PC NA players jumped on "Team Teal" because...well, look at the ridiculous score.

    I honestly feel bad for the casual players at work right now, impatient to get home and jump in the Market only to find that when they do, the hour or two they have to play is going to be frustrating, unnecessarily time consuming/confusing, and overly difficult.

    After sleeping on it, perhaps I'll feel differently. For now though, Night Market leaves a less-than-pleasant taste.

    Lovely bug I just ran into. Was killed (who saw that coming?) and upon portaling back to the Plaza I was completely unable to leave. Couldn't port out, couldn't port to a home, couldn't even log out or quit the game. I was actually told "You cannot quit right now."

    This entire feature is half-baked and awful. The 20 minutes I suffered through in there were more than enough for me. What a colossal failure.
    Tamriel Tomes Challenges are not the answer. They are a question, the answer is No.

    I want to say so much about this new Night Market… but if I do, it won’t be pretty.
    But… I’ll try.

    What is this?! How in the hell did someone think this belongs in ESO? Why?? Did you all just lose your minds???

    EDIT:
    This is NOT hardcore. In hardcore content, you should be able to complete it solo that’s the whole point of calling it “hardcore.”

    This is nothing more than [snip][snip][snip]. This isn’t hardcore. This isn’t anything—it’s just crazy, and it shouldn’t have a place in ESO. Stop killing the game.

    The issue has been fixed! Thanks to you and the support team!

    Has it been fixed for all players?
    I did just get a message that said “16 collection sets updated”…is this the fix?

    Played around the Skittering Precinct for longer than I cared to (I chose Thousand Eyes) , but general first impression is that this content has a cool factor, but is incredibly unintuitive, and seemingly buggy. Primary bug I encountered was randomly certain skills or light attacks did not registering on enemies at all. Secondly, quest markers kept flickering off and on, making finding the objectives for the dailies frustrating; possibly because of combat but idk for certain...

    Finding the relic Fragments is sort of convoluted, and even after reading the achievement, I am uncertain how to obtain the last Egg of Arac fragment from "Night Market coffers" even though I had opened many coffers in the process...

    Went into the other districts as part of my faction's 'Main quest' but both precincts were ghost towns.

    Oddities are kinda ok? the Void Escape boon in particular was cool. The puzzles/minigames however, are absolute trash. You have to wait a stupid amount of time for them to even start, only for them to last a brief moment, and none of the actions respond well to your input or are sabotaged by random players activating stuff at random; Just all around frustrating.

    I think the problem lies in ZoS always making it incredibly difficult to onboard players into the harder content. There's always been this big divide between difficulty modes with no intuitive way to get paired up. We have group finder now, but I'll be lucky if I ever see a functional group on there. ZoS always treated the game as if their consumers would play the game 8-10 hours per day non-stop and the insane content grind reflects that. This is why games that pair players up automatically tend to be popular these days, ain't nobody got the attention span for grouping up and rehearsing a 3 hour play for a bad time.

    As someone doing vet DLC trials, NM is harder even with full group. Needs guild group with tanks and healers.
    PUGs with just 3-4 DDs forget it. People die, nobody resurrects, and then you have to come down from portal and pray you aren't ganged by the mobs on the way to the group.

    Let alone people don't wait, so they can kill a boss, get their lead and run off, while you were running to the location.

    As @Athory said, who the heck through this belongs to ESO?

    This is Craglorn 2 during the May 2014 trash mob resist/penetration bug. Those of us here since the Beta and pre-release weekend, know exactly what I am talking about.

    (PS-NA) Apparently there is no way to leave the Night Market outside of traveling to a home outside of Fargrave from your Collections tab. I should be able to use the wayshrine in the plaza to do so.

    Also, as many before have said, if you are solo or even two-player co-oping with a friend, there is pretty much no chance at getting much of anything done. Even running something as inane as repairing the wards means I am dying constantly, cannot outrun/hide the mobs, and most of my gear is broken within five minutes. Two or three hits take out any of the companions I have active, so there's no real help there, either. I swear I was alone in the Parch for a while today because either no other players were given quests to go into the area or they just aren't playing.

    Yes, I know this is Day One, but reading that a lot of the same issues I'm having were brought up during PTS is just not a great look and don't entice me to come back to this area, no matter how much I'd love to fully unlock the Night Den. Which is horrible knowing that I'll probably never unlock the three wings or get access to the new safe.

    I'm not sure if it's a PS versus PC issue but I was able to use the wayshrine to leave just fine. I did complete the initial quest to unlock the house, not sure if that mattered.

    Yeah this is gravely concerning. I have 9 years worth of collected cosmetics, I can't recall every single thing I have right this minute. How would I know if something is missing, only to think about it six months later and realize it's gone?

    There is nothing to encourage faction loyalty, which is really sad considering we're to get end-of-campaign rewards for the effort we put into helping our chosen faction. Just like PTS, we already know which faction will win this time, and it's unclear whether all three factions will get a chance in first place — we may just see the same one or two factions perpetually win as people choose their next faction solely for the rewards they offer.

    Locking fragments, item sets, dyes, and other functional items behind faction choice and giving us FOMO that we may never get to see the Night Market more than three times is just upsetting game design.

    It's only a few hours in, so this can absolutely flip around, but already 1 faction has 4x the favor that the other 2 have. It concerns me that people will just join that because they are in the lead, which will just cause even more people to join them and then they have such a majority of the players the other factions will have no chance of winning.
    Is there anything in place to account for this, or am I just way overreacting?

    There is no fun if you don‘t have a large group. And those missive quests? You stumble upon them or you miss them. And you can‘t complete them if your team goes elsewhere.
    This is chaotic.

    Verify Chaotic. And since there is no in-game chat, it makes a random group almost impossible to coordinate.

    The factions are already out balanced on PSna on day one with the scoring.

    Red 185k
    Blue 977k
    Yellow 440k

    Knowing the scoring before one chooses is skewing results. Everyone wants to be on the winning team so everyone is choosing blue. The next market another color will be dominate because everyone will have done blue. Did anyone think this through?

    All the problems I fought for are still here. Forcing people to group in a free-for-all vet trial is not gonna cut it. Not when everyone has different goals, different times of play, and a hard cap of 30-something players per instance.

    I imagine it will be fun this evening for the coming week as people get on after school/work, but then these early pain points are gonna become worse when people are at different progression points and scattered across 3 different districts plus the hub.

    This really feels just like hunting dragons. Almost impossible (or takes forever) to solo, and you just end up waiting for more people to join so you can complete it, but not soo many people that it makes it too easy. free-for-all-group content is very hard to balance.

    First Impression…NOT GOOD!…if you don’t have the right build and know the mechanics of ESO combat, forget about doing anything solo in the Night Market. If you’re a player that enjoys PVE, forget about the Night Market, unless you want the free house.

    It won't, PTS had Thousand Eyes dominating the entire time, they also have the appealing younger culture factors going for it, as well as the strongest monster set and most unique dye.

    First impressions aren't great. I had a hell of a time trying to find my group. The initial pop-up to port to the group leader ported me...somewhere, but it wasn't his instance. Second time, I tried porting to someone. Still wasn't in the right instance. Finally, on the third try I got into their instance.

    The rewards are also pretty insulting. A blue world drop item that goes for pennies on the trader. It's Destiny's "two tokens and a blue" moment.

    And I'm not sure about the Favor rate if you are not in a coordinated group. After about 3 hours, and doing the daily quest on multiple characters, I got 490 favor. If I need 5000 to buy trial gear from the vendors or complete the season weekly event, and 10,000 for some of the other things form the vendors, it will take over 60 hours of just this. even if I spend 3 hours every day, that 21 days on just this.

    Also I grouped with 1 person for about 15 minutes and group of us about 6 of us attacked at 18 mil boss at the same time, but for at least 2 hours, I didn't see anyone else in there and no one responding to zone chat for groups.

    Its a group zone thats difficulty is for Vet Trial Groups, its time gated content that has many cool things for more casual players that Vet Trial Groups will likely not want or need, its a place that id love to explore and enjoy at my own leisure, but I cannot. It is advertised as a group zone, fair, but I think its a little too difficult for most groups and I dont think it gives folk who run Vet Trials anything of use, and I think those who just wanna try and enjoy any story content find it very hard to do so. Id love to see this return as a much more toned down thing, perhaps even as a way for smaller groups to get certain non-bis trial gear, but as it stands right now I dont really know who this is for. The game has sorta cultivated an expectation that a lot of content can be soloable, or at least done with smaller groups of 2-4 outside of trials, but The Night Market shatters the expectation that I think a lot of players have. I think that if this is to be a timed event, then it needs to be far easier. I also think locking the unlocks of the player home behind some difficult to get achievements that you need to do in decently large groups for most players is a bad idea. The Vet Trials community to my understanding (which could be very wrong) is a small portion of the playerbase, and so I dont get why this is like that when its a timed event.

    My own personal, entirely selfish desire would be for this to have two different instances, a normal and a vet mode, where the vet mode is a slightly toned down version of what it is now, and the normal mode is accessible for more casual groups of 2-4 players, with maybe blue items for rewards or less favor gained, or both those things.
    (She/They) NA player, I enjoy making themed builds!

    That was to be expected with how the system is set up.

    Fortunately, "winning" or "losing" the faction race has almost zero impact. The third-place faction still gets what matters, i.e. the monster set. The higher-placed factions get the gear in better quality and gold and banner furnishings, afaik. That's it.

    I logged in and saw the quest starter in the crown store. Grabbed it and used a wayshrine to teleport to the event zone. Once inside, the compass marker showed me that I needed to head into a portal to get to the person the quest was asking me to speak to. Instead, the portal was actually the exit.

    The person hadn't fully loaded with the lag in the zone before I had up and left so I returned and waited. The marker still showed me using the exit portal but by looking around I was able to find the person I needed and was able to complete the initial quest to unlock the house.

    That is the full extent of "testing" and experience I will be doing with the Night Market zone. I don't do trials and only sometimes do dungeons and based on feedback already given, you pretty much need to have trial experience and groups in order to not play "die and run" over and over. That is not content, that is frustration.

    On the house, there was no option to preview it by clicking on the map, clicking on the door, or anything else I could think of before I did the quest and acquired it. You should let people view it to see if they even want to bother with the initial quest. Adding to that, there is no way to see what the wings would look like to know if you are really missing out on something or not.

    Since I cannot see what I am missing, I have no desire to try to form up with groups to even consider unlocking the wings.I think I will just use something to hide the doors so I don't even see them. I didn't try yet but I hope I can remove the wall safe and throw it away since I cannot use it. I'll just place my banker in the front area in the cage room for convenience.

    Agroup of use went in blind as we do for dungeons and trials and had a blast. The adds respawn too quickly in places, and the overland set rewards are pretty lacklustre. I admit I really enjoy archives and this feels like big group archives. For some reason I couldnt travel out though. Couldnt see a wayshrine on the map and the map would only show night market or night den, not go to tamriel etc.

    In my six years with ESO, I’ve never felt this level of disappointment.
    I had high expectations for the Night Market and its features. However, as a solo player, The Parch appears effectively impossible to complete alone.
    I regularly solo group dungeons without issue, yet this particular challenge feels unreasonably restrictive.

    Not sure why you need more feedback. We will stop providing feedback, because you have already decided what you want to do, and things stay the same.

    Only a very few players are playing, on day 1, the launch, when there should be "excitement". There is none.
    I played a little bit just to see whether anything had been changed. Nothing has been changed. Not interested.

    That is sad that none of the feedback was taken into account…isn’t that what feedback is for!!

    They did take feedback into account, but feedback from players who did not want this to be toned down until it's casual solo-friendly.

    This is this year's dungeon content. There will be more solo-friendly content like quest lines and solo dungeons later. This is group content (parts of which can be tackled solo if you're good enough) and should stay like that.

    This is worse than Craglorn was back before One Tamriel. Forced grouping for very difficult content failed back then so why do it again?

    Then the rewards I have seen for the Golden Pursuits would have to be increased in quality a thousand times to even reach substandard.

    I did just enough to get the house and I am done. This is absolutely the most dissapointing year I have seen in this game ever.
