Either way I voted yes but I agree with what you are saying. Shut down the campaigns when the current one ends. Create 3 campaigns, (one being oceanic), and monitor the populations. As those fill up, add 1 more... monitor that population, rinse and repeat until the population of the last server opened stops to increase. YOU NOW HAVE FULL AND BALANCED CAMPAIGNS!!

To combat the people who would effectively try to switch campaigns as soon as another opens up, change the cost of changing campaigns to something like 300k AP (or higher). This will help keep the campaigns balanced

With all due respect, I don't think waiting another 60 or so days to fix a serious problem is a viable solution. People are quitting now, not later, because of population imbalance. Almost half of the servers are empty, and the other half are controlled by one alliance.

Before any server merges, I think they should upgrade their servers quite a lot. I'm currently playing in EU AB, and during prime time its usually pretty much locked for yellows and reds. Blue has little less, but usually they get locked too. During prime time servers are lagging really badly, and whenever big raids clash, it's totally hopeless. Skills won't work or take seconds to trigger, people crash left and right, word freezes, eternal loading screens and other annoying stuff. So please, before any merges, make sure that current full campaigns are playable.

I said maybe, but what if instead of going with your own faction, make it so you choose the campaign but the side you're on is random, so as to balance out the zerg movements)

Also to chip in -- the campaigns should have been waaaaaaay shorter. By doing so, it would have let ZOS make quicker adjustments to how things are. They were 3 days, I heard, on the PTS. Just making them a week long would allow things to be shaken up constantly and keep a sense of newness to each campaign.

Instead you have campaigns that have been all but decided with 50 days left to go and no one bothering with them.

Do you think a single EP is going to be bothered with even logging into Dawnbreaker (only 5K total faction points to this date) at this point? Any that haven't already swapped homes are likely inactive accounts.

No. I'm #3 in my faction and couldn't care less about leaderboards transferring. I like my smaller server. I like that I get to know the people I'm fighting with and against. We get some bigger battles going every couple of days - 30v30 kind, and not just in keeps. If servers are merged, alot of that familiarity, and the community that engages in it, will be gone. If you don't like the size of the population on your server, move, but don't force your unhappiness on everybody. No sense in going from thread to thread demanding radical changes every other day like a snake oil salesman - gets old.
