It struggles to hit 100 on the whole server outside of that.
Again, this is not true lol not even close. I would again advise you try logging in when Greyhost returns to see how off base you are with these comments of yours, it’s getting beyond ridiculous.
Anyway you look at it, the GH community is like 0.000001% of ESO. I like eso pvp, its the only thing I do in ESO anymore. But the numbers whether its 100 during the day or 1000 at primetime is tiny...tiny. The fact the devs are doing anything is a miracle.
I know you NA prime time players don't care about the other 20 hours, or the way this renders the campaign score useless garbage, but try playing during NA morning (Asia prime time). It used to be pop locked across from like 7am-11am EST. Now it just makes me sad.BardokRedSnow wrote: »I would again advise you try logging in when Greyhost returns

Watch out PUBG, gray host is catching up fast! 300 today, 300k tomorrow! I'd say to go back in time and log into Thornblade or Trueflame to see what it should look like...BardokRedSnow wrote: »if you log in to the game you'd have seen how populated greyhost was during the day

GH players are a small minority of PvPers. 100-300 guys aren't moving any needles. GH players should be overjoyed that ZOS actually decided to keep it around.moderatelyfatman wrote: »I think you are making the assumption that just because PvPers are a small minority that they are insignificant.

The 100-300 remaining GH players are certainly a unique breed of gamer. A bit too unique, because numbers that low are neither sustainable nor proiftable.

Thats basically exactly whats going on now lol pvp is largely ignored and honestly at this point I'd prefer it stay that way.
That said, if they took back that false statement of 'we cant fix greyhost' when they did before, on accident, and especially considering the only thing that needs fixing is ballgroups gamebreaking lag effects, then this would no longer be the case and even more players would populate Greyhost than what already are.

GH enjoyers might wanna look at the top PvP games according to Steam. ESO is #63 and that's obviously the whole game not just PvP, which struggles to hit 3 digits while competitors like Rivals or Overwatch sit steady at 100x that. They are naive to just how small GH PvP is.Because in chess you need to actually outplay your opponent, not just outbuild them on the stat sheet before the game even starts.moderatelyfatman wrote: »In the case of PvP, does the game of Chess need to radically change the rules every 2-3 years? But they wouldn't even be pushed away, because they're here for whatever the populated active Cyro is, not for any specific iteration of it. Only a few are that in love with the current GH.

That was true for a long time but more recently we've gotten 3 person Battlegrounds, Vengeance, and the upcoming smaller zone warfare map coming up.BardokRedSnow wrote: »Also the whole point of my statement was that while those pvers and questers outnumber us, they don't spend money on the game as long as end game players do, both from trials communities and greyhost pvp.
A ton of casuals buy things like houses. If they weren't big spenders they wouldn't have catered to them so long. A lot of different types spend money on this game. That's why it routinely stays on the high earner list on Steam despite a relatively small playerbase on there.

Just because someone doesn't get into PvP or Trials doesn't mean they aren't a long term player. So many of those PvEers and questers could easily be long term players putting as much money as the PvPers and Trial communities.
Basically Casual/PVEer does not equal 'here today, gone tomorrow'.

I'm warming up to Vengeance-- that is, I'm feeling better about my chances in Vengeance. As a player who's not that good at PvP, much of my time in GH is spent soloing resources, and helping capture or defend keeps if other players from my alliance are on and actively PvPing. But soloing a resource in Vengeance has always been beyond me-- until this morning. Now that I've been able to successfully solo a number of resources, I feel like I could atill enjoy playing in Vengeance even when there are too few players from my alliance on.

Nobody asked for the trainwreck ZOS has turned BG's into.
Nobody asked for vengeance.
Nobody asked for a pared down single keep Cyrodiil map.
So what people seem to be promoting is the removal of a game mode we know and love (GH) for systems we know very little to nothing of, and what we do know of vengeance is all bad.
