Gilded Stirrups Fragment

We're past the halfway point of the event, and not even a hint of this fragment.
I notice that those with unlucky RNG (and I ALWAYS do) can't even purchase it and must wait for the impresario at the next event.
What a way to behave... tying such an important item to RNG, so those born with unlucky accounts always have to succumb.
Damn.

didnt get the fragment during jesters and bought it during this event but i did get this new fragment during anniversary through RNG...over time it will even out for you

Getting it from the Impresario is the 'normal' way to get it, as it has been all along. It's not punishment.
The rare chance to get the fragment in the event before it is just that... I have no issue with it. I'll just give a little cheer if/when I get it and really never give it a second thought if I don't. I certainly don't get stressed if it doesn't show.

can look at the descriptions in the fragments section of the menu for where to get

the first fragment of this was a random drop during the jester festival, but is purchaseable during the anniversary event
the 2nd fragment is a random drop during the current anniversary event but can be purchased at a zeal of zenithar event that happens in the future
the 3rd fragment drops during the zeal of zenithar event and will be purchaseable during the witches festival

Same. Didn't get the jester's one so bought it during anniversary, but got the anniversary one. Sometimes RNG works for me, other times it hates me (been killing the same boss over and over and over to get a lead in Hew's Bane, with no luck).

Not trying to rub salt in the wound, but one of my accounts got the stirrup in a gold box drop (forget if it was my main account or my alt). I've been avoiding buying the mount fragments just to let RNG have some room to maneuver. I'm pretty sure that we can only have one of the fragment, so buying it probably means that it will never drop.

The one that drops isn't purchasable, it's just the fragment that will be available from the next event dropping early.

My alt account has had both drop so far which is slightly annoying as I don't really intent to get it on there!

PTS testing had this at about a 1/5 chance per day, so anyone consistently playing events is going to get most of the fragments for free if this is the model going forward. Over the course of a year, there would be a few gaps where you have to spend the Trade Bars.

Compared to the system before where there was 0 chance to get these sorts of fragments for free, this seems way, way more generous.

Totally agree.

The way to look at is this - the fragment is the next event fragment, but if you choose to play this event you're automatically entered into a free prize draw to win the next event fragment for free! They're actually giving you a chance to win something for free, rather you having to buy it with trade bars.

I view the alternative - that they just remove the RNG from the current event, and then everyone has to buy it next event - as being less generous.

Does this mean no events between Zenithar and Witches? And those who don't get lucky in June have to wait until October to get the mount? RNG to save 1000 trade bars is one thing, but for these past 2 events the RNG penalty is just not having a fragment in your collection. Failing the RNG during Zenithar means you don't get the mount for 4 months.

Surprised I haven't seen anyone talking about this.

Because we still dont know if its going to happen or not. They might not let the final fragment drop for free early because of that very reason.

Oh I didnt see that! Then yeah, I have a problem with that... I did not mind getting the other fragments for free early, and was super happy they were doing that. But they should never have continued that with the final fragment. Making other people wait to get the whole mount because some people were lucky to get the fragment is just... meh...

i wanted to make a post about Withered Antlers, but wanted to wait till u50 pts, glad to see it brought up here.

Mayhem should be in this PTS cycle and u48 pts patch notes said the next version would have foundational changes so that could be why Witches Festival was put in the Antlers tooltip instead, as a placeholder maybe.

Event: Whitestrakes Mayhem
There are no major changes to this event at this time outside of a new outfit style chase, the Tava’s Goshawk armor set. Old rewards cycle as before, with the Arkay Unending Cycle pages entering the Mayhem grab bag. Future iterations of this event will receive some foundational changes, so stay tuned!

the event could be longer or interact with the new Veterancy system, we should know within the next few weeks

Last year we had at least Whitestrake's and Undaunted events between Zeal of Zenithar and Witches Festival, so I'm hopeful that the tooltip was just placeholder info that got forgotten or something and will be updated. It would make no sense to skip over the final fragment of a collectible while running other events and surely we are not going to have 4 months without an event... when was the last time that happened?

I'll be very sad if true though because I have not gotten a fragment as a drop so far and won't assume RNG will be nice for the final one to make up.

season 1 should also have High Seas of Tamriel which is in update 51, s2 likely starts in early October so that event should also be before Witches Festival.

Last golden box of the event, no fragment.

Given that the fragment is a participation trophy if there ever was one participating on the event and being denied the participation trophy makes one a special kind of loser.

Moving forward they need to find a better way, one that doesn't foster resentment and make one feel ****.

There is still one last golden box. Reset is in 40 minutes and you still have 4 hours after that to get the last box before the event officially ends.

I'm on PC/EU, the reset happened in the AM already.

No chance for another gold box in this server.
