Why are they nerfed right away? Gap between subclassing and pure classing is so bad to the point where for example that original 25% crit dmg and 1400 execute wpd wouldn't help NB to be competitive against sulbclass builds but now it's 1250 wpd and SEVEN crit damage? Please make passives stronger...

I am saddened. Wasn't the consensus that these talents are not even good enough to make pure classes competitive again? Especially with only 2 picks allowed. And now they are even worse than proposed.

They annihilated Sorcerer's Font of Power. 9% base spell damage removed and now you need even 1750 magicka per 1% spell damage. The previous 1500 per stack already rendered this unviable for any normal Sorc build. ~20% spell damage can not nearly compete with the combined perks of Animal Companion and Assassination. Not to mention the abilities they offer.

Even if I stacked 65k Magicka somehow, it would not compete.

Well the Wildfire Embers passive is pretty useless for a lot of dk skills as more are direct damage and not a dot including engulfing flames, needs to be reworked. Templar mastery for activating burning light is pretty nerfed, looks like am going back to sub classing, just hope that my two primary classes I love the most, the warden and templar, get good refreshes in the future.

Above and beyond being 7% in pvp is hot trash ngl. Get way more damage out of subclass

    I'm beyond dissapointed

My thouhts after I saw class mastery for the first time: "Hold on, these are amazing"
Then after I relized you can only have 2 of them for some reason: "Too bad but they will probably buff them or at least make it possible to get at least 3 of them"
Now imagine my face after realizing they got gutted

My first reaction was also that they look broken, but then I learned they might barely be enough.
And like you say... we have to choose either between damage or healing or tankiness and can at best cover two of these areas, while subclassing covers all three and better.

Either we need three choices or these should be buffed back up a bit. I can only hope Zenimax has tested these in-depth and found they are just right as they are.

Not just a bit. If there are just 2 of them they have to be stronger than in original state, let alone current state

The sorc ones are sad....why shouldnt i just subclass Ardent for Heart of Flame which got buffed and still offers infinite sustain - better in every way compared to Conservation of Energy.

Font of Power got gutted so hard and the other masteries are mehr at best and doa. I do not see why to run pure Sorc at all.

Was shocked at that one. 10% of 6K weapon damage is ~600 x 12 = 7200 * 2.75 = 19800 per TICK? Just for spamming 1 skill 12 times. Will make for some interesting duels and pvp.

NB class mastery already nerfed, probably "OMG gankers" people caused that. Above and beyond should at least give 10% with cap increase to match what the now useless executioner passive used to have (out of stealth 10% crit bonus I think).

Don't half it for players, overkill. The others aren't terrible, make the damage increase 1400 SD/WD again though. NB gets the most hate as usual.

Glad they implemented this, I suggested this almost a year ago as maybe a 10% damage increase so I shouldn't complain lol.

Sorc Mastery was buffed and is a good standard I think.

NB was probably nerfed because the past whole year was dominated by Assassination in both PvP and PvE. Really wish they used Mastery to make NB less one dimensional, like support the old blood mage brawler specs like "sap tank" or old axe bleed pressure builds.

PvE was dominated by herald and PvP by animal/storm/restoring skill lines which could include assassinations but wasn't mandatory unlike at least one of these 3, and not that adding a good passives to a pure class without these OP lines would do anything to them

Sorc is the highest parsing class on pts afaik and as far as I've seen nothing else is really close. Including against subclassed builds

The Necromancer class mastery of allowing players to attach corpses to other players got randomly nuked and was entirely disabled in PvP.

Which makes zero sense. The corpse mechanic is and has been completely dead (post-Harmony/Boneyard nerf) in PvP due to high player movement speed and fixed corpse locations. That mastery was a promising step that the devs actually understood the issue.

But it was an illusion. And in the meantime, Necros have to wait... *checks calendar* two years (LUL) for potential salvation.

To be fair, they said that the ones originally shown weren't final. So these must be the "semi-finalized" versions.

I hope though, that they buff them back up a bit if enough people outcry because at this rate they *REALLY* are on shaky ground with people due to previous combat blunders. These nerfs are *** dumb.

    PC-NA 2019-2022, 2025-present

Please keep fixing the combat. It's good to fix the combat.

Yea, I am happy that things turned out much better. And yet still no one will bring Sorcerer into a trial. Because it offers nothing beyond dummy parsing, and it has been this way for years.

I also don't understand WHY they nerfed something before even letting players try it at the original version.

maybe they tested it internally and said "oh, no, that's too much. scale it back, we can always buff it back up in week 2 if required"
