How are premium tokens and caches of tome points calculated? Seems bugged

    I had sent in proof of purchase with account history screenshots that did include my e-mail address. But that wasn't enough apparently. Now hoping those email receipts are good enough.


    I am waiting on them now to tell me why the transaction history screens aren’t good enough!? I have been told once to suck it up and just forget it regarding another issue which they know is a bug. That was not much in the way of points too lose. This will be a step too far and having paid for ESO plus without break since June 2015 …. In the great words of L’Oreal I AM WORTH IT!
    I hope they resolve it for you soon after all your efforts.

    I received the same kind of email about 1h ago, so I checked in-game, but they only applied the 13 premium tome tokens/caches to my PS NA account (and not to the EU one, where those currencies still remain at zero).

    So I guess it's progress, but now I will reply them about that missing part in my ticket 260402-001226

    They just added them also to my PS EU account too! (happy that they were very quick this time)

    I can also confirm that they have added 3 Premium & Caches to my account. I believe this is what I am owed as I would imagine in August when I renew ESO plus I will be awarded for August despite it being half way through month.

    I hope everyone else gets what they are owed too :smile:

    In August you will get as many tokens/caches as months you renew for at that time. The system will not check or award credit for the first half of the month.

    A lot of people are thinking that the system waits until a month is fully paid to issue credits going forward, but how it awarded credit retroactively is different than how it will award it going forward.

    -For the retroactive credit, it was full calendar months already paid. Whatever month your sub renews in typically wouldn’t count, as it would be partially through the month.

    -For ongoing credit, the tokens/caches are awarded for paid months starting from the moment you sub or renew. These credits do not consider calendar months but how many full months from the time of purchase.

    This means there is a gap that goes uncredited in many cases where people got retroactive credit.

    For example, if a one-year sub was bought August 15 last year and so is scheduled to renew August 15 (give or take) this year:

    Retroactive credit looks at January through July and sees 7 fully paid months. It gives 7 tokens and caches. It can’t count August 1-15, as that’s not a full calendar month.

    The sub then renews mid-August and grants 12 tokens/caches to account for paying from mid-August of this year to mid-August of next year.

    The first half of August this year never gets credit. There is no way to make it get credit, since the system does not check for full calendar months anymore.

    I have received my missing tokens and caches. So the e-mail proof of purchase was sufficient.
