No, people can simply play in blackreach if they want that. Greyhost is as populated as it is because of the faction lock, you sign up for this dynamic.

I don't see anything on the UESP Wiki which indicates that it does, but I often see players of all three alliances running around and fighting while carrying a scroll, instead of running it back to its temple or placing it in a friendly keep, which made me wonder. Is it just an ego thing-- "I'm a PvP god; come try to take this scroll from me" or whatever-- or is there actually some kind of benefit for being a scroll carrier?

So other players left the alliance due to that?
Did I get it right?!
they walked it sooooo slow it took 4 hrs to get it home on off peek an there were times the player would just stand around an wait to get killed so another team could take it an say they were just role playing a other rage bait stuff an then they get lonely men to justify an support there actions because of there gender

So you literally call ZoS to discipline others who don't play the way you want them to play?
I don't think ZoS should prohibit switching the alliance. I haven't switched yet once, but I may consider it later, just to play together with my friends. This opportunity is a great part of "play the way you want" in its positive sense.
I also don't think ZoS should do anything with players who do anything with a scroll or hammer or whatever, if they do not cheat. Players do something, then they have consequences. That's how the game works. It is really strange to blame one, two or even five players for something that happens with the whole fraction.
As for your guess that many people switched due to one. If so, I found it silly. No offense.
First, there are plenty of things to do in GreyHost besides one scroll. I often join the scroll protection if I need kills or want to help. No? There are keeps, resources, other players, and siege tools to burnThe universe doesn't turn around one scroll.
Second, for the chat. I usually don't have time to read many letters. I came to Cyro to play. Short tactic info is all I read it for.
If people are so sensitive about slowing the scroll and reading the chat, God save them from having their keep captured. That's a real stress

The personal benefit of the scroll successfully delivered is about 7k AP or so.
While you run with it, it is just a kind of taunt that affects (by being visible to) all three fractions in the campaign. People use it for farming or just for fun.
There are no personal or faction benefits of keeping it in the field in terms of in-game buffs or mechanics.
you might want to stay away from sports an other game with that attuite. someone puts holes in all the baseball gloves an your just like i guess that how some people play lol. an there are zero consequences for bad actors in cyro, why should 1 person ruin it for everyone else an zos profit? a bunch of people said they were leaving because of this players actions an ohh look they switched an they get to go back to there alt an play normal.

As a side note, it has actually good that DC is not winning every campaign by 10 k points. Somewhat fresh that DC loses a campaign or 2. They have that Ocean time frame taking everything and keeping it all blue with massive overpopulation.
Huh, wonder why that is.BardokRedSnow wrote: »not enough players

Most of the people who participate in greyhost are well aware of this I am pretty sure. The problem isn't that the enemy does this for instance to troll a scroll while farming, or even that the occasional troll comes by and ruins your efforts.
The problem rn with DC is that when someone comes to troll the faction nowadays, be it the scroll, zone, etc, leaving ram on door on purpose, placing camps on the map at max so others cant place one somewhere (sometimes this is alt accounts though), instead of doing what can be done to circumvent the problem or at least not feed the attention of the people doing it, they play into it. All factions have the problem where people wanna do different things and have disagreements, but DC is at its most combative at the moment.
Lots of armchair quarterbacks, and not enough players.

That counts as griefing and that is against the TOS. Though we should not "ban" players here as it muddies the water whetever we know it all or even the truth. The reporting system gives a chance to express your view and some action is taken if true. It feels like a slow path to stop something like this. This is something that makes game worse for most. Hope it gets resolved and all are able to enjoy of Cyrodiil.
Netherscorn wrote: »I think I'm missing the point here maybe? ...So you're mad that some dude/people/whoever are taking the scroll, and troll walking it into the lake or something?
That's objectively hilarious and I hope it keeps up. The only thing scrolls are good for is attracting fights. The only thing that should matters in a pvp zone is pvp. Factions and faction RP, score chasing, scroll running, etc, all of it...is pointless.
Upvote this post if you think we should get a free for all pvp zone! ...Now THAT would be The Absolute Fun.
