How to save challenges for a next week or saison?

Hi there. :)

In January i've read an announcement
Note that you don’t have to complete a Weekly Challenge within the week it becomes available, as they persist throughout the Season up to a maximum of 12 Weekly Challenges live at any one time. Learning from player feedback surrounding Endeavors and Daily Login Rewards, we designed this system to ensure you don’t feel bad when you’ve missed out on a day or two of progression.
from: https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-gb/news/post/69141

Through pinning it up would not work, because we're only able to pin up 1 challenge at once.

Just starting a challenge would be a problem, because of the limit of 12 challenges max - except there won't be any new ones given at that point...

Is there any Info about that i've missed?
Did someone tried it on PTS maybe?

I think you'll have the ones you haven't done yet when new week comes in tomorrow.

My guess is that if you have 12 weekly challenges after a few weeks you don't get more challenges.
This text used to say "Main: Dragonknight Tank". Way before subclassing, my raid leaders made sure I had many identity crises on both roles and classes. I tonked. Or dodoed. Or healed. Updating accordingly.

Main: Stuff-doer on a wizardry game. Still enjoying it. DK tank? Retired.

Sent from my Timbermoth Mammoth using Esotalk.

How many rerolls do we get? Is it 5 a week? I am stuck with all gathering which is boring and I don't want to do.

I got Trial multiple times on rerolls and I don't do trials.

    Hope they reset.

Yes, 5 per week. You can save them to a max of 12, afaik.

Perfect. Heard people got better ones like World Bosses so hope I have better luck for my interests next week, and not all gathering.

Weird that a new Seasonal objective got added today, but the weeklies don't get updated until tomorrow. That seems a bit awkward.

How to reroll? that button don't work for me, i assumed you had to reroll before claiming anything.

Does not answer any of these just stating the number 12 somehow
    https://alcasthq.com/eso-tamriel-tomes-challenges/#weekly-challenges
Says rerolls stacks up to 12 somewhat but You can not reroll a challenge if you’ve claimed Tome Points who answered one question.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

You can reroll a weekly challenge, not a saisonal. And only if its not in progress yet, i think.
Just hover over the challenge, then you have a select option on the bottom line.
    Or did i misunderstand you?

Here is my understanding, so anyone else can take this as a "teachable moment" in case it's wrong (I'd be happy to stand corrected).

You got five weekly challenges for this first week (week ends on Tuesdays). Any challenges which you have completed and claimed the Tome Points will drop off when the next week starts and any challenges which you have not completed will stay. You'll get five more challenges at the start of the next week. And so it will continue until you get to the point where you have 12 active weekly challenges. Once that happens, no new ones will show up until you complete or reroll one or more of the existing ones.

Three points of confusion on my end
    1. I have no idea whether a completed challenge can be rerolled if you have not claimed the Tome Points.
    2. I have no idea whether a partially completed challenge can be rerolled. This is about the first completion only, so if you had a challenge to chop 15 logs (can be completed 5 times) and you chopped 10 logs of the first completion.
    3. I have no idea whether you can reroll a challenge which still has one or more completions left to go. So you chopped 15 logs and claimed the points for the first completion, but still have four completions left on that challenge.

Once you claim Tome Points for the final completion, however, that challenge goes into the "dead pile" and will be dropped and replaced the following week.

At the same time, you also get five rerolls each week. You can use those to reroll any of the weekly challenges. Think of this as drawing a card, putting an unwanted card back in the deck, and then shuffling. The next draw could be the same card you put back. This is one of my gripe points about this system because "no" means "no" as far as I'm concerned, but the game thinks "no" means "take it back to the kitchen for now, but maybe bring it again on your next trip." Be that as it may, any unused rerolls will hang around up to the maximum of 12. Once you have 12 rerolls cached, you won't get any more until you use some and the next week comes around. Mechanically, it's almost exactly the same system ESO uses for character deletions.
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

@DoofusMax - you can't reroll anything that has registered progress. IOW it has to be sitting at 0/x for current progess and 0/y for number of that particular challenge completed.

all the "pinning" feature does is make it displayable with the base game UI basically where the quest tracker is, it doesnt do anything else functionally (the same as "pinning" golden pursuit tasks)

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

in progress: acquiring mundus stones (currently only have the thief)

i now know for completely untouched ones.
What's with the "work in progress" challenges? Did all partially fullfilled ones keep staying too? Couldn't test that.

What happens if you do not complete the weekly (1000 enemies in Wrothgar + others)?. Will another pop up next week, or does that one have to be completed before another turns up?

If it persists and the other tasks appear weekly then it's not such a headache. You could drip kill over the season.

Yes I got it also that it saves not completed challenges up to 12 challenges.

Raises another question. For many challenges like harvesting resources or killing x enemies its an gradual progress.
And I assume these will to saves but is the stack also saves say you have 4 left.

But if you have lots of challenges like kill an world boss 5 times its no progress you and 50 others kill the boss.
Worse say 2 arenas your progress in the arena is not counted only then you finish.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

That shouldn't be a weekly task. In my game, it's listed as seasonal. I think they intend to add a new one to that list periodically (maybe every week?). The weeklies are on a different sub-tab.
