Is farming Pyrebrand a thing, or just bought from vendor?

I've decided to jump on the meta bandwagon and set up a DK with Pyrebrand gear, but I don't like IA and don't have much currency from there. Does Pyrebrand drop from monsters in IA or is it only obtained by purchasing from the IA vendor?

TIA for help.

You can get uncurated (random w/ duplicates) coffers for Archival Fortunes, or curated (random w/o duplicates) coffers for slightly more Archival Fortunes.

You get a curated Class Set piece from defeating Marauders or Tho'at Replicanum. Odd numbered Arcs award body pieces, while even numbered Arcs award jewelry and weapons. You will always get Class Sets for your character's current Class first before you will start getting Class Sets for other Classes.

Please give us Werewolf Skill Styles (for customizing our fur color), Grimoires/Scribing skills (to fill in the holes in our builds), and Companions (to transform with).

tyvm for info! That's what I needed to know.

FYI, the uncurated Class set pieces cost 2k IA currency, can't remember how much the curated cost, 20k? The curated boxes are purple gear, the uncurated is blue....for me the purple are just too expensive as I don't have any IA currency at this time and accidentally bought the curated boxes instead of the uncurated to start my Pyrebrand gear grind.

Is there a difference in the stats of curated & uncurated or is it just one is blue & one is purple?

the difference is that the Curated boxes are guaranteed to give you an item you have not Collected yet.
and uncurated give any random piece of the set

Only difference I noticed was color quality. Both curated and uncurated are random traits and weights.

The easiest strategy is to just clear the first 2 Arcs then reset, as odds and evens drop either weapons or armor.

You can do this solo with most PvE builds.

I looked at this before. If you are doing it just to buy the pieces, the uncrated is a better deal than curated. The frustration is the body pieces come in all 3 weights, so while it is easier to cover all the body pieces to make a 5 piece set, it could be mismatched in type (heavy, medium, light). Upside, Pyrebrand is more suited for PVP, where some mixing and matching is okay.
