I figured out what I dislike the most about Eastern Solstice. The quests are too long. I expect the story quests to be long and detailed but I don't expect to spend a half hour or more on one side quest. Halfway through I find myself thinking "Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" Does anyone else find some of these to be too long?

I found the main questline unmemorable (as I do for most DLC main questlines). On the other hand, I found the side quests in Eastern Solstice to be a wonderfully refreshing surprise. Most of them were fabulous with twists and turn and even some choice/consequences. For me, the side quests of Eastern Solstice was the highlight of both Eastern and Western Solstice.

I thought the side quests were ok but wish some of them had been broken up into 2 or 3 smaller quests. Sometimes I start a quest then have to stop and log for a bit. Shorter quests allow for this, but it's not as easy to stop when down in the bottom of a cave or some such thing, and I hate logging in such places.

You make a good point and I share your dislike of logging off when sometimes it requires repeating some of the quest. More and obvious points in the longer quests where you know you can log out and conveniently return would be welcome.

Well I was questing in Eastern Solstice today for the first time in awhile because I'd like to finish the zone on all my characters but am having a very hard time getting motivated. I found myself in a long side quest and that's when I realized what my issue was. This is my 4th of 7 characters and I hope I can get motivated to complete it on all of them but at this rate it may take a year or more.

It's such a contrast to Western Solstice where I really enjoyed the quests.

Sorry to say The Writhing Wall Event and Eastern Solstice zone story left a rather bitter taste. Stopped doing anything more in Solstice for quite some time now.

However, last night, curiosity got the best of this cat and I started the Western Solstice main quest. To my delighted surprise I was now really enjoying the zone story. As usual when my enjoyment level increases I go very slow, enjoying every visual detail and reading and hearing all the dialogue. (So beautifully voiced as usual).

I'm only a couple of quests in but I'm in no hurry because after completion there will be a dearth of this kind of new content until much much later.
