The final dark. Mannimarco disappearing

Hi, is anyone else bugging out on the final dark quest. 3 times now i have gotten to the phase to pop the eyes in the guardian but Mannimarco disappears and Darrien doesn’t tell me to put the eyes in the guardian and I am left stranded in the area with no mobs and can’t fast travel as it says I’m in combat. I hit the altar to try take it down without the guardian to try trigger the next phase but it won’t let me do any damage to that. I’ve had to he’d reboot and then it kicks me out and I have to start the quest from scratch from outside again. Ive tried it with different companions but still get stranded and can’t do anything.

Yes, this happened to me a short while ago.

I beat him twice and was starting to fight him again and he seemed to teleport somewhere out of site (showed up as a red dot on the radar) but then disappeared.

Update 11/16/2025 6:41PM:

I was able to stand in a certain spot to damage the big crystal with Lightning Staff heavy attacks and Ash Cloud, but around 65% I was disconnected from PCNA. I was put back in the instance for the fight with Mannimarco and it was at the same spot but this time I got the message to put in the eyes. I did and was able to finish.

Not sure that will be helpful for Playstation or XBox but some info for whoever is assigned this bug fix.

On xbox can't activate the voskrona can only Heavy and radiant destruction the crystal.

Force quit the game and was able to place the eyes in the voskrona. Fought the bone dragon. Killed the crystal.

When I kill Mannimarco during the add phase, I feel over even though im at full health.

Happened to me too on PSEU. No prompt to put the eyes in the Stone-thingy. I tried it anyway since it was obvious that you should use it to destroy the crystal, but it was just impossible to interact with it.

I finished the quest very, VERY, slowly with my bow.

I hope it works next time I try it on an alt.

After multiple resets I was finally able to finish it. Definitely a frustrating experience.

It was, with the low damage I did with only light and heavy attacks, together with bow proc, that did double a heavy attack - 380 or something. Probably took me a good 30 minutes.

Happened to me today on Xbox and this worked so thank you for sharing! I hope this gets fixed soon.

I had this fight a total of 5 times, and every time, Mannimarco was bugging out. Once I got booted out of the robot, and was instantly killed. Someone suggested doing the fight without companions and pets. But that would raise the difficulty level even higher because most time the companion is the healer.

Wondering if you could destroy the crystal without using the robot. That huge dragon skeleton sometimes is bugged, too. I'm getting insta-killed in the robot even outside of the red circle.

On PS/NA I was fighting Mannimarco during the Final Dark and he became"unkillable". No "shield" around him, just no visible health bar, so none of my attacks would show that I was bringing down his health. When Mannimarco became "unkillable", I even tried destroying the alter "gem". My heavy attacks were each doing like 0.1k damage and the health of the "gem" started at like 80k. So I stood next to it holding heavy attack for multiple minutes. And the "gem" broke - and Mannimarco was still "unkillable". I ended up letting him kill me by standing in stupid, and after respawn at wayshrine I was able to fight him and bring him down. It was like the battle reset to a different set of starting conditions, and this new set of conditions allowed Mannimarco to be fought and eventually killed.

Separately, there is a voskrona in the room for the final battle, but there was no way for me to put in the eyes so I had to bring down Mannimarco myself. Yes I walked up the ramp to the stone statue multiple times during both fights, yes I tried clicking on it from multiple different directions, but there was no way to do the action which I had already had to do multiple times earlier in the Final Dark quest to activate the voskrona. And Darien never said anything about putting the eyes in the voskrona.

...had the same issue, it's clearly bugged. I entered the room, charged on Mannimarco, but after some initial hits, he became non-targetable. I then tried the Voskrona, but wasn't offered a placement for the eyes, and that altar gem didn't go down either (or it was in 0.0001 % steps maybe). I believe that all of that didn't work because I was still in a group with a friend (who was outside somewhere else) when I started the fight.
After I disbanded that group, I reloaded the game but then I had to start the whole fortress again from the start. Did that, and when I encountered Mannimarco again for the second time, everything worked like it was intended to. Had to bring down Mannimarco a couple of times, then I was able to place the Eyes into the Voskrona and destroy that altar gem. After a while, Darien offered to use his Light, and then I was finally able to kill Mannimarco.

So - don't go into that fight when you're still in a group, I believe that was the reason why I didn't work previously.

Likewise, bugged out multiple times as described above. The problem is you have to go through the whole rigmarole again. No fun at all, very unsatisfactory.
