All rewards except the title have been explicitly stated to be available after the event ends. Probably more time consuming to get, but not impossible.

    Even the style pages?

The exact wording is: "Note that the collectibles and items awarded through the Battle for the Writhing Wall event will remain in game even after your server has completed the event. These rewards, apart from the “Wall Breaker” title (below), will be sometimes awarded through the Siege Camp daily quests in addition to the possible rewards for Siege Camps already listed above."

If they meant to say "all collectibles and items except the style pages," they would have erred so significantly that this statement would rightfully be called an untruth. I would hesitate to suggest they got this so wrong until after we have the opportunity to test it on live.

Kind of too late to test after the event that ends in a week.

And, its not the first time this event that the announcement page has been incorrect.

So getting some clarification, from official sources is valid imo.

@ZOS_Kevin One thing I am wondering: Are the Shards of Writhing Bone gonna drop in the Writhing Fortress? Since Phase two is ending for the rest of the servers?

On PC EU I got a bone shard in a chest for beating one of the side bosses. For what that's worth. :D

But also yes, the dailies will still be available to farm for the reward box loot, including the bone shards.

As of about 10-15 minutes ago or so, it's not only available on all platforms, it's been successfully breached on all platforms.

Yeah, didn't seem to take long at all. I saw the announcement pop about phase 3 starting, and next thing I know there's an announcement that the spire was down. About 2 hours tops?

I have to say, it was a very good time to be running delves for skyshards - very quiet!

You know what, I'm glad I was able to jump on at 5PM and experience the first clear of the Fortress on the NA/PC server. And over all I liked it.

That said, it's a freakin mess in there. It works like the Deadlands/Blackwood Oblivion portals. More than likely you're going step into it already in progress, messages about completed steps flashing every few minutes. More or less the mob of players, once you catch up to them, sort of hive mind their way through it.

But sometimes that kind of chaos is fun. Reminds me of Cyrodiil in the early days or Dragons when a lot of players are fighting them. Which bothers me a bit. The Fortress is by far the most interesting part of the event, and I consider it a crime against your player base if it's only around for a week.

I usually not too much into PvE, but as Cyrodiil is at the moment not in the best state xD, I decided to try out the writhing fortress tonight and I have to say it was really fun. Compared to the first two phases who really weren't too much fun, the Fortress was really great.

We sadly had the bug the first try where we couldn't finish the final boss. But after we went in again, the next instance was going well, no bug.

On PC/NA it took maybe half an hour from the writhing fortress opening until we brought the spire down.

I have destroyed the tower's core 3 times for the writhing wall event, yet each time at the final end to complete the quest when it tells the player to return to the camp and talk to Skordo the Knife. He is not there by the Meridian lens to actually complete the quest.

I really loved all of the action packed moments within the fortress itself and having to work together to solve the different challenges within. However, glitches like this really put a damper on the game. :(

Can I please have help or can we look into fixing this situation please so we can play the game?

    Thank you.

Have you progressed the quest "Crossing the Wall" to the next one: "The Worm Turns"? That causes a problem because it sends Skordo to a different location (with the other quest dialogue disabled). So far, only abandoning that quest seems to help.

I'm sure this has already been reported, but it wasn't in the list of known issues so I'm posting here.

After logging on this morning, the two wall related quests changed. I advanced the Skordo quest, and that seems to take me to the writhing fortress. Prince Azah's quest sort of indicates that someone already completed the writhing fortress.
Already that makes me feel like I'm no longer part of the event. I'm holding off on advancing the princes's quest as it suggests that advancing that quest will lock me out of the fortress.

I followed Skordo's quest, and it took me to the point in the wall that the lens was pointing at. The quest marker is at the larger point in the wall, but there's no portal to activate. However, when I went to try and activate it, I just ran through the wall.

I then went through the portal. Walks-with-ash (or maybe it was Keshu) said that someone had already done part of the fortress, and that I should go through the west portal.
Even the quest tip is broken, it keeps saying "Optional Steps: Talk to keshu. Talking to Keshu removed the optional objective, but it came back again."

When I go thorugh the portal, there's this inferium thing that's not moving and a bunch of balistas. It's not obvious how to lead the infernium to the gate. Lots of other players running around saying it's broken.

Sorry Zos, I don't want to rub salt in the wound, but you guys really messed this one up. I'll come back later and try this again. I think you guys need to explain to us how the game got to this point, and what you are going to do to get it back on track.

I really want to keep playing (and paying), but I'm not convinced now.

In terms of my expecation of the Writhing fortress: I expect that I can follow the story through the writhing fortress from start to finish. I don't want to come in a partly done instance and get a "story so far" dialog. I want to be thrown at the start of the instance with a set number of people, a bit like an dungeon or trial. We all work through the instance to complete it.

I was at the PCNA Meridian Lens when Phase 3 started. Got my two quests and went into Writhing Fortress. There were no bugs for me. It was fantastic. Super super fun. Kudos to the devs for that. I'm sorry to hear it didn't work for everyone. Was able to complete the quests and move on to the next stage in Eastern Solstice. Eastern Solstice looks good. Having fun there.

Devs, too bad this is only one week. I love fighting kaiju. Give us more kaiju open to the public to fight, please and not locked away in trials. The community battling together is what mmos are all about. More content like that, please.

ZOS, please leave the Writhing Fortress up for more than 7 days. Players are struggling to find an instance that allows them to finish it. I think some players would appreciate having more calendar days to play this one time content.

Separately, before you remove the Writhing Fortress forever, please consider posting a link on your website to a video walk through. Maybe an ESO Stream Team member would be willing to do this if you asked them? I read online in various places where players have said they have gotten to places in the Writhing Fortress and couldn't figure out what to do next.

Just keep the Fortress permanently. Putting so much efforts into designing it, and now hopefully fixing all bugs, and then just removing it again feels like a waste.

I'd like to keep the Fortress but I'd like it to be a normal dungeon version that has a quest associated with it that tells the story of the wall that once stood here and how the citizens of Tamriel came together to bring it down.

I agree, this fortress, its incredible. Must have taken a lot of effort to put together. It would be a shame to waste all that for just a week. My thoughts are to turn it into a weekly event on the group page. Similar to dungeons and trials, IA and TOT. Have it be a 3 team (of 12) event. Get new and different drops from the monsters sub bosses and boss chests. Patch it into the leaderboard for 12person groups. Introduce some wandering bosses like SE to make it interesting, make those wandering bosses random like IA cycle bosses, but vet level.

This location can be a literal playground for players tired of the usual, and it provides enough landscape, variety and difficulty to keep interest if done properly.

Did Reistaff (or Reistalf, depending on where you look) stop offerring the Phase 1 quests in phase 3?

I have always precrafted the stuff, but now every time I kept rerolling him, he would never ask for anything but cuirasses, jacks, and shields, which are the three standard craft ones added in Phase 2. He never asked for any of the things we crafted in phase 1.

Not a problem since could just make those, but I wasn't expecting those to stop being offerred at this point.

My son, who has played every one of the Elder Scrolls games except for ESO and knows all the various oddities which Bethesda games usually have, summed it up rather well when I was describing this event and its many glitches, bugs, and such.

"Doesn't ESO have a test server?" ... knowing that I was a beta tester for this game.

I answered that of course it does, that I used to participate on said test server, and that those who play on the PTS report all the bugs and weirdness so the devs can fix before going live.

He simply shook his head and asked when I was going to drop my subs and finally go to a game where QA/QC was an acknowledged and followed thing.

Xbox NA last night was a hot mess. I log on, tells me to talk to both Skordo and Azah. Azah tells me the Fortress was destroyed (I never set foot in it yet) and to activate the Lens. I back out and talk to Skordo, tells me its time to attack the Fortress. Follow him to the wall and steps into a portal that isnt there (its off to the side). Here I can actually just walk thru the wall to East Solstice already.

Found and took the portal to the Fortress, Keshu says the first two Spires are already down and I should help the last. Ran thru a completely barren fortress save for all the other players running around, Chat filled with "What do we do?" messages. Got to the last area with all those broken Balistas and everyone standing at the edge of the platform staring across at the shade of a grapple post not spawning. Some tried to shoot the Spire with the Balistas but they hit an invisible wall. Spent some time doing Grapple Parkour then left. Talked to Azah, used the Lens, big lightshow and now the wall is gone and I got rewarded for nothing.

Possible bug? In Xul-Katima, my wifes main fell off a bridge and died due to environmental damage. Cannot recall to a wayshrine (getting location not found message). Can't resurrect here. Can't "get me unstuck" getting same "location destination not found" message. Can't try "get me unstuck" again because it's on cooldown. Anyone else having this. I didn't find it in the bug section.

Update - if this happens to you, queue for a dungeon. It'll get you unstuck.

My final thoughts on the Writhing Wall event is that I hope to see something like this again. I do hope it is done a lot better than this one. I recognize that this is the first time you were trying anything on this level and so trying to get it right will be hard. The moment we got to finally break into the Writhing Fortress, was awesome. I loved that feel. I do wish there was a better build up towards that moment. The work of Phases 1 and 2 did not really feel like a war.
For my suggestions for improving something like this in the future would be the following.
For the Siege camps, instead of just having one or two active at a time, have a random number between 1 and 5 inclusive active. Give the Worm Cult 10 minutes of a siege camp being under assault before they start taking it over, and making it there own, and from there instead of defending the siege camp, the players have to take it over, and root out the worm cult from their newly conquered camp. Maybe even include the need to take out siege weapons that the cult might have set up. That would give the feel of a real war in my opinion.
I think I would have also liked to see a repeatable quest relating to the invaded delves and public dungeons. A possible implementation of that might be the following:
When a quest is given to go clear out that delve or public dungeon, seriously amp up the difficulty of it to the point where it would be fit for a group of 12 players (or more) to go through and clear out.
I don't know how much of that would have been possible given the available resources, but that would be my suggestion. I hope this gives you ideas for things you can do in the future.
